good for those who live near a microcenter.

802.11b is slow yes, but if your just surfing the net or using public access points, they use B, not g or a mostly so it doesn't matter.
whats amazing is how other companys still charge 50+ somehow for their b adaptors ....guess they are waiting a little longer before dumping

No rebate fuss and not that much more $ and you can have a fast new card. The old cards just aren't worth $10 to most people.

true, but fast cards only matter for home networks. for wifi on the road.. its mostly slow anyways
