I don't know if it's a good idea to say this or not, but starting today, I have officially stopped folding for AnandTech. I was getting so little points on my other computers that I now have them configured to my other team. AnandTech simply has too much "professional competition." However, for the next two weeks, I'll try to have my computer on 24/7 running SMPs and GPU folding, so in the end...

FOLD ON EVERYONE!

Me too.

It's sad that we're losing you but we're all pretty much running only a few computers with the exception of MarkFW and Gravity. My 8000ppd was a single quad core with a single 8800GTS. Not very professional there.

When I meant "professional competition", I meant there's too much people with high PPD and are practically crazy, *cough* Mark *cough* .

It's just that all of my other computers fold too slowly. It's just that all of my other computers fold too slowly. Link to AnandTech stats As you can see, random spikes and such, and I get only around 1100 points per week, give or take a hundred. This is folding done on my sister's AMD X2 @ 2.7Ghz rig and my old Pentium 4 which runs at 1.5Ghz machine. Now for my other team, I just feel that it's more fun taking over people with big points.

So in the end, I'll be moving on to my other team now, and will probably stay there for a while. I'll still posts on the forums and stuff, and one day, I might just come back and be in the top 20 in terms of PPD output here at AnandTech.

FOLD ON!!

What you need is a quad-GPU folding rig. That would up your stats in no time. Actually, I think the problem is more with the scoring. If you're only using the command-line (non-SMP) client, then that thing doesn't score very big. So your output is still pretty good, keeping that in consideration.

Whatever you do, remember to have fun.

Are you not folding on the rig in your sig? It should be able to get you on the top 20 list by itself easily.

I fold on all of my computers, but we prefer not to leave the computer on 24/7 unless we're doing something, such as video encoding or whatever which would take a couple hours to complete. So because my computer's on like 8 hours a day on the weekday, I get around 1200PPD with my rig in sig.

Right now, I have SMP set up for my sister's AMD rig and my rig in sig, as well as the GPU folding for my rig. However, I might have to take SMP off that AMD rig two weeks later since there's a very high probability that I won't make it by the final deadlines.

@Virtual. I'm not gonna shell out money for a quad core. Budget's tight, there's no need for another computer, etc etc. We already have a Penium 3 sitting here collecting dust, and a Pentium 4 acting as a BT computer. Mom would kill me if I got another computer.
