I was at a new Wal-Mart opening today. While visiting the electronics department 1/2 the people were purchasing Wii's!

It was odd, I thought I was early for one one those Friday deals, I should have asked what was the deal going on.

That's why I buy Nyquil in bulk. :laugh:

$600 for a Wii bundle is a lot of money. My kids will wave around the controllers for a few minutes before they go back to their 'normal' toys but my 4YO does enjoy batting when playing Wii Sports.

Nearly every single Fry's around my area had 100+ Wii's this weekend. It actually took them four days to sell them all.

Its funny how Wiis cost at least $100 less than the next cheapest console (unless you get the castrated Xbox 360), but in order to actually buy one online you have to pay more than the highest end PS3 because of these bundles.

Man I miss Fry's. I can't find a Wii anywhere around here.

Wow. Even in my dinky little town I can go to Wal-Mart, Target, or Shopko and pick up a Wii/PS3/XBox360. They were scarce here for a while, maybe everybody around here has their fill of them now.

Well, because you are in dinky little town, that's why Last time I (living in a state called New Jersey, ouch!) saw Wii was at local Target, which were sold out in two minutes after they were put on shelf.

Don't you actually get 6 games? Donkey Kong Blast is included, then you get to pick 5 more titles right? Thats $300 worth of games right there, plus the $250 Wii on top, plus an extra Wiimote and nunchuck, combined those are $60. Then you also get a free component cable which runs about $20 if you know where to look. Thats about $630 for all those parts combined, so I guess its not that bad of a deal...if you can actually find 5 Wii titles you want

Even if you break everything down, it comes down to 287 + tax for the wii. (with the 40 dollar shipping)
So at around 310, this seems to be the going price of the console by itself on ebay anyway. Granted walmart is less shady, but yer talking close to 700 when its all said and done with this deal.

Reggie's prediction of xmas shortages is self serving. My own prediction is that wii's will be much easier to find this year.
The N fanboys already have them, and the ebay/clists markets are very very saturated.

Just keep yer eyes open for the amazon deals and wiitrackers.

If you live in nyc, theres always stacks of them at the nintendo store in rock center.
