I have filled out more than 10 Cendyne rebates totaling more than $200, and I got every single one of them. Perhaps it's just your luck? or perhaps there was a change within the company that I didn know about? Anyway, if you have copies of your rebates, recipts and UPCs, they will have to honor it. Shoot them an e-mail and let those people know that you mean business!

I've had 2 Cendyne rebates rejected within the past 2 weeks. One reject form claimed "The postmark date on your rebate submission was after the deadline for this rebate". That isn't possible because I purchased it on Sunday when the add came out, and filled out the forms. Then mailed it on Monday. The second rejection stated "INTERNAL 52X24X52 IDE CD-RW- The Serial Number was not included with your rebate submission". When I looked at my scanned image of my rebate form, low and behold the serial number of the drive is CLEARLY printed in my handwriting on the form. I've called the rebate center but I have not resolved these issues yet. CENDYNE BUYERS BEWARE!

Stupid rebates...they are a scam at best!
Rebates are not a scam, cendyne is out of business, they will not honor any rebates.

Okay, here is the deal: Those who bought from OMAX:
"Dear OfficeMax Customer,
Per my corporate office the rebates will be paid by Cendyne even though the company has closed. I do apologize for any and all inconvenience and thank you for choosing officemax.com.
Denise
Rebate Specialist"
This is almost as good as money in the bank. Check the maxrebates site at http://www.maxmyrebates.com/promocenter/officemax/track.html
AFTER you call and tell them about an invalid claim or one they can't find and AFTER you resubmit.
If Cendyne's checks bounce, Cendyne is liable for any fees that may result in.
All clear?

So if your checks bounce, who and how are you going to file complaints to? Does anyone here have the time and would go through the trouble to do it.

The rebate check from Cendyne I deposited last week bounced today. $30 + a $7.50 returned check fee!!!! I'll give Office Max a shot tomorrow and see what they'll do about it. That's just wrong.

It appears that my OfficeMax cendyne rebate(the one paid by Cendyne and not OM) is now in limbo...it's approved but still "processing" while the OfficeMax one has already had a check sent out.
*sigh* so it begins...
Well I'm gonna bitch and moan until I get my $30 rebate. $120 for the DVD burner is just not worth it considering how many EDIT GD loops and rebates I had to fill out(did one of those buy a bazillion FAR items deals)

Don't give up. File complaints with the attorney general in the home state of Cendyne. I was just reading about a Newcom settlement for rebate problems. Newcom was one of the worst of all time about fulfilling rebates, and it looks like people might get something even though Newcom is long gone.
Rejecting rebates for bogus reasons is what lots of rebate fulfillment companies do when a company goes bankrupt. Don't roll over and give up if the fulfillment company tries to reject your legitimate rebate claim.
