I have filled out more than 10 Cendyne rebates totaling more than $200, and I got every single one of them. Perhaps it's just your luck? or perhaps there was a change within the company that I didn know about? Anyway, if you have copies of your rebates, recipts and UPCs, they will have to honor it. Shoot them an e-mail and let those people know that you mean business!

They can't honor it when their company files for bankruptcy. First, all of their assests with be scrapped into one pile, and all of their stuff will be liquidated. Then, their first in-line debtor (banks) will get the cut. After they're paid off, then second in-line (shareholders?). Rebates are next to last if not last. I've called OfficeMax regarding one of my $30 rebates. The store manager said Omax will handle the rebates, so we'll see how it goes.

Btw, REBATES SUCKS!

That's why I don't F with rebates. I'd rather pay 10 or 20 bucks more, and not have to send in a stupid ass rebate. I hope all the companies that whore for the rebate god get smacked for it eventually.

Just read about Cendyne bankrupcy 2 days ago. Too bad, their version of the Lite-on Cd/Rw is great. I have 2-52x24x52 and 1-48x12x50 and they out perform the Lite-on's. I hope OM honors these rebates as I just took a buddy down and he bought one. No wonder they advertise them so cheap "after rebate".

Don't give up. File complaints with the attorney general in the home state of Cendyne. I was just reading about a Newcom settlement for rebate problems. Newcom was one of the worst of all time about fulfilling rebates, and it looks like people might get something even though Newcom is long gone.

Rejecting rebates for bogus reasons is what lots of rebate fulfillment companies do when a company goes bankrupt. Don't roll over and give up if the fulfillment company tries to reject your legitimate rebate claim.

It appears that my OfficeMax cendyne rebate(the one paid by Cendyne and not OM) is now in limbo...it's approved but still "processing" while the OfficeMax one has already had a check sent out.

*sigh* so it begins...

Well I'm gonna bitch and moan until I get my $30 rebate. $120 for the DVD burner is just not worth it considering how many goddamn loops and rebates I had to fill out(did one of those buy a bazillion FAR items deals)

I got burned by Newcom 40X CD drive rebate, can't remember how much, do you have a link to the article. TIA
