The days of $4 CDRs weren't that long ago. But why not relive the nostalgia in style. These CDRs are so damn cool I'm sure someone here will be unable to resist the temptation. Maybe OT, but then again, what price fashion?

The reason why these are so expensive is because they are audio CD-Rs intended for use in stand-alone CD recorders (but can also be used in CD-R drives). You'll rarely find audio CD-Rs for less than $1/disc. I don't even know if stand-alone CD recorders still require the special audio ones (I've never owned a stand-alone).

Hmmm...I saw them for as little as 30 cents each at Circuit City yesterday. And yes, they were AUDIO CDs, not normal CDs.

I bought vinyl cdrs with black bottoms for about $8 for a 10 pack @ futureshop [Best Buy Canada]

Futureshop doesn't appear to do any international shipping but considering what's at stake here, it might be worth sending an email.

These may well be the very same disks and they even claim to be real vinyl! And get this -- according to this guy the disks have actual grooves on the top and are black on the bottom! According to the e3 site, their products are also sold at Target! I sure never saw anything like this at Target and couldn't find any cdrs online but I'll sure check next time I'm in a store -- especially if it's a Canadian Target I happen to be in. Thanks jandaman! This just might be hot after all.
