<< I have a slot 1 100FSB mobo and was told that if I decide to get a fcpga chip that has 133fsb and chose to set the slotket to be in 100fsb mode I get a performance decrease.
I assume that is correct because the multiplier is the same but with a decrease of the FSB I would get less perfomance. IE: 10 x 100 = 1000/1GHZ. I'm not sure what the multiplier is for the 133fsb chips. Tell me if I'm wrong. Thanks. >>
It would be 7.5: 7.5x133=1000
Therefore, you'd only be able to run the cpu at 7.5X100= 750Mhz, not a wise investment.
