Yuck. 1/2 the time the UPS guy doesn't come by until past 6pm, sees the leasing office is closed and doesn't attempt to even deliver packages door to door.
Good thing I rarely buy anything from newegg.

Here UPS comes by at around 9am, while Fedex comes at 1am. UPS is faster by a day, too. And they actually make sure you get the package, not like Fedex which once just dumped the thing on my doorstep.

That probably varies by region/driver/etc. I've never had Fedex leave a package (when I wasn't at home), but I have had UPS leave a $200 calculator outside in plain sight while I was at school once...
Delivery time has never been a big difference for me either, for 3 day or better methods.Originally posted by: AmberClad
I've had packages shipped to me by both UPS and FedEx, there hasn't been a difference in the number of days it takes to arrive.
Maybe he's an ex-DHL employee. That's what DHL does to all my packages, ninja-style delivery.Originally posted by: AmberClad
I've had shipments where the FedEx guy just plopped my box in front of the door and left without even waiting to see if I would come to the door.

UPS sux... big time.
Yep they tend to that, but I would still go with UPS or FED over DHL. DHL sucks big time since they always deliver one day late from the day it says on tracking and sometimes it even says it is on delivery track and they do not deliver. HATE DHL.Originally posted by: marvdmartian
Hmmmm......seems that depending on where you live, depends on what sort of service you get from Fedex & UPS. Here in N. TX, I get about the same time period for shipping with both, but with the big difference that the Fedex guy knows how to place a package so it's not out in the open, saying, "STEAL ME!! STEAL ME!!!"
That, and for the life of me, I can't get the UPS drivers around here to knock or ring the bell when they drop something off at my front door. Not even when my truck is sitting in the driveway! Okay, maybe it's a small point, but how long really does it take to hit a doorbell button? Or knock on the door? I've had packages sitting outside for hours (luckily it's a covered porch), while I'm sitting in the house. That's simple customer service, and not something I should have to ask for, right?
