One note on the Best Buy plans. They only give you another iPod if you paid full price for it. I had price matched one and it started having issues right away after getting it home. Eventually it died and Best Buy deemed it should be replaced. They not only void out the rest of your Protection Plan, meaning you'd have to purchase a new one with the replacement unit, they will charge you the difference in what you paid compared to the "like" model now.

Compared to that, the -%5 charge seems cheap!

Actualy thats not true, well shouldnt be. They can not cancel the pland and make you get a new one. They have to give you at least the same unit back. What they should have done, and you should have made them do, is take the original price of the old unit and give that to you as credit to buy a new one. worse case they would have you pay the difference. And if they have the same model in stock (generation and HDD size) they have to give it to you with no additional charge. ie, then would mark the price down just like the original.
