NOT HOT: Palm m505 $399 from ecost.com

ecost.com is taking pre-orders of Palm m500's and m505's. The price for the m500 is $349 and the m505 is $399. I called and asked about taxes and shipping costs. They are a California company so you'll pay taxes if you're from CA, shipping starts at $5.95, and the kicker is a hidden "handling fee" of $11.00. I ordered mine from outpost.com for $449 but no tax and free shipping. I'll still pay less with outpost.

Just in case anyone was interested this "deal". Oh yeah, they told me that that are due to ship m505's May 20.

The m505 is $369 there, but the website's prices are $399 and $449 for the Palm m500 and m505 respectively. You have to add it to your cart for the price to drop.

Anyways, why do you post it as "NOT HOT?"

The deal is good for those that live outside of CA. The "handling fee" is ridiculos, but if you want to get free ground (have to spend $400 to qualify), then add the .38 cent Pentel Zebra Mechanical Pencil. My total came to $411, not bad, but close enough to the best price i've seen so far. As stated before,... you have to add it to your cart to get the $50 off.
