Not sure what to do...

First my current setup:

OCZ 520W PS
Abit AV8
FX-55
2GB of ram (4x512)
Geforce3 (X850XT died on me)
SB audigy 2 ZS plat


Now my problem. I have to RMA my X850XT to newegg but they no longer have my card in stock. More then liekly they are going to give me a refund. I thought perhaps now would be a good time to move to PCI-E.

I was thinking of going with the DFI HERE since I have no need for a SLI setup. Since I know 4x512MB memory configs are somewhat bad for AMD setups I was thinking of trying to get a 2x1GB kit, however, if I can't get to it now, will this board handle 4x512mb ok??

I was also thinking of getting a 7800GT instead of another x850 or perhaps even then GTX, I would asume my PS will be enough??

Now if by some chance newegg were to send me a differnet agp card, I need some ideas for a differnet motherboard. I have had a NEO2 in the past and for the most part it worked fine but the temp reading issue started to piss me of. Plus, newegg no longer has the NEO2.

I do plan on overclocking, tho my FX-55 can only do 2.9Ghz max. Is the DFI board above ok or is there another board I should consider? Anyone else got any ideas on a better way to go about this?

I'd check with the video card manufacturer about sending the card back to them for replacement. Or call newegg, and see what they'll do before sending it back.

Well since it's a BBA card there is a good chance ATI could replace it. I have already emailed newegg once and they said more then likely they would refund my money. If they did do that I thought this would be a good time to upgrade to PCI-E and perhaps even a LCD monitor to take advantage of the DVI.
