..
has anyone had a bug/fault where the phone can't answer calls?
it's happening to me. when i swipe to answer, there's a (about 2 seconds) freeze/lag, then it goes to the call screen (as if answered) but there's no sound.
vanilla note 4 with nothing added or modded.
@daweat, i'm with Three (in the UK). nowhere near the bloat you get from AT&T :/
reading around i have found a couple complaints regarding this, one with a fix (select the "quick tap to answer" under acessibilty) which worked .. and also a few other issues not related. so the note has a few bugs, here and there.
I am so torn on grabbing a note 4 or waiting. I am on Tmo and think now is a good time to upgrade since I can still sell my S4 for $300 or so... uggg wait or go for it... I don't see anything else coming up soon that is on my radar. Maybe I'll go pick one up today.
Anyone know a better place to grab one vs just going /w a Tmo store? Interest free loan is nice... but I prefer savings. I don't see anyone /w it cheaper lately and so few Tmo phones now.
Best Buy has the TMo version now for $700. Unfortunately it's a hot commodity and quickly sells out.
So I tried to call them and they said they don't carry it? Best Buy is so useless lol, but I checked their website and they also don't list it?
T-Mobile version works on AT&T like native AT&T version, I suppose?
Seriously considering the Note 4 now. Anybody want to comment on SOT (screen on-time). Speaker performance? (Loud, clear?)
The Tmobile version is missing at least one of the LTE bands that att uses. I passed on it because I couldn't find out where that band was used in time to place a pre order. Someone must know though.I'm using the Tmo version on AT&T - no issues at all. I did have to pay to get it carrier unlocked ($25ish). I think you still have to do the stupid - sign up for a contract and cancel it as soon as you get the phone with Tmobile - assuming you buy it outright.
No issues with signal or connectivity in NYC.
I've been very impressed with almost everything about this phone. The only thing that irks me is that they took out a feature I liked in my S4. I'm probably in the minority, but I used the voice controls on my voice alarm. Being able to just say "snooze" instead of fumbling with the screen was awesome. I just don't understand why they'd remove something like that. They could easily have just disabled it by default, but it's not even an option anymore.

Yea I'm pretty happy with it. I had a note 2; folks I call can hear the difference and say the note 4 is call quality (for them) is much better. The speaker phone is also quite a bit louder and has almost no distorition (but when I use it as speaker phone the voice quality on the other side goes down - they notice a reduction in quality).

battery life is good; visibility outside is good (could barely see the note 2 under full sun).
Definitely faster. There are a few minor features or software changes from the note 2 that annoy me and I think the icons on the note 2 looked a lot better; samsung been copying the tile stuff a bit too much which I hate (not samsung copying but the tile format adopted by fliproom and windows 8.1).
Wait what? That actually sounds like a useful feature. Where do you enable it in the S4? I don't see it in my alarm settings.
It should be under settings -> My Device -> Voice control
There's some other options but the only one I ever used was for alarm. I think a lot of people dismissed voice control as a gimmick and never used it, but I liked it for the alarm. Samsung must have heard people didn't bother with it, so it's not even an option anymore. Too bad
