While we're on the subject, I thought I'd make an additional note (that typically doesn't apply to home-users but you never know):
If your Wired and Wireless networks are on different subnets, and the PC is routing traffic to another Host on the Wireless subnet, then the Wireless Connection will be used (regardless of what metrics have been defined in Windows). In many cases, the Wired connection will be faster even though there is an extra Hop at your Router.
For that reason, I typically recommend that you manually manage your network connections by disabling/enabling the adapters that you do or do not want to use at the time.
