notebook hard drive...need advice asap

hi everyone,

i wanted to purchase one of these for my dell d800 laptop. will it work with no issues? will it require an adapter or any other hardware to work? any comments appreciated

I think it will work just fine...

personally i will go for larger drives, unless you have external drives for storage.

if you're replacing your existing drive, just use the same hardware, its 4 screw plus the tray but the drive pin adapter

unscrew the original, put new drive in and boot up

wow, thanks a bunch. kind of a novice when it comes to laptops

Some models of laptops mount their hard drives in a carrier of some sort that converts the connector to make them easily removable - so you will need to remove any carrier/connector converter and mount it to the new drive. Just be careful as those connectors and cables are quite fragile.
