thanks alot for all your submission! .. i still havent decided yet! so many options, theres a really nice kenneth cole reaction messenger bag /w laptop compartment at loehmanns for like $40 im considering.
I just use a $40 LLBean messenger bag... nothing special, no padding or anything, i suppose its not the best idea but it works nicely and best of all no one suspects theres a laptop in it when i walk around campus or set it down somewhere
i bought a cheap CompGeeks laptop backpack, too out the inner laptop "pocket" and sewed that into my JanSport backpack (I like the big pack packs). Works great, protects very well, and nobody knows theres a lapyop in there!
I prefer not to carry them in obvious laptop/notebook bags as that may draw attention to yourself in bad areas. If it's a casual setting, I carry it in my Samsonite backpack which has a protective sleeve for my laptop. If it's a professional setting, I have a Reaction shoulder bag that came with a protective sleeve for laptops.
It's nice, it has hideable backpack straps so it can be used as a regular backpack. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of extra compartments for cables and such.
Works great, looks like a regular backpack. Holds the laptop in a padded section that is under the straps. Used it every day for the last year and laptop still looks good.
