Toshiba 315CDT (P 233). Several years old, but has just started giving me problems. I know it ain't the fastest thing around, but I use it to play old games on trips (Diablo, Crusader, etc) Here's what can happen:
Plug it into the wall. Lights light up. Boot. Work anywhere from 3 seconds to 15 minutes
Plug it into the wall. Lights light up. Won't boot
Plug it into the wall. No lights. Won't boot.
Not in the wall. Boot from battery. Works anywhere from 3 seconds to 15 minutes.
Battery was replaced with a new one. Same problem. New battery and old were used in another notebook and function fine. Other notebook completely charged them and once placed into the messed up one the problem continues.
When booted the computer does show that it is charging the battery.
Any idea what is wrong? I'm guessing something wrong with the power supply. I opened it up and didn't see anything loose.
