And that's only counting the students that were physically present at schools being shot up. Basically every student has been run through that trauma now directly or indirectly.
So far the only politically acceptable "solutions" in the U.S. appear to be 1) thoughts and prayers, 2) practicing school shooter drills, and 3) Kevlar-plated bullet resistant children's backpacks. Which are all collectively about exactly as effective as the 1950's duck and cover drills for a nuclear war.

An Atlanta TV channel says "Channel 2 Action News has confirmed that at least four people are dead and nine were rushed to the hospital."
