Novalogic Delta Force: Angel Falls

Novalogic is beginning Alpha Testing selection for Angel Falls, don't know about most of yall but I'm quite excited for this. Novalogic has been quiet for years. Joint Operations is still a heavily played game (still ranks hundreds in the evenings/weekends), and I would love to see new life breated into NOvalogic. Compared to the big boxes, EA ect ect, Novalogic is one of the few places I feel like I get my money worth!

I loved JO but unfortunately, it is hard to find a decent and populated server these days.

At any rate, Angel Falls is REALLY late -- IIRC, they had planned releasing it in 2008 or 2009. I'll check it out but I am not sure I'll buy it when it does finally come out.

Novalogic was one of the original companies that were looking at the integrated battlefield back in the 90s, that is,tanks, jets, infantry all in the same multiplayer game. Would love to see Novalogic make a comeback and crush Battlefield.

I would pay to see that. Novalogic's games were always so refreshing to play. I'm hoping this will be the same, not the same old recylced crap.

I personally thought that JO was better than BF2. JO has the one thing that, IMO, made BF1942 great -- huge, expansive maps.

I've been a fan of JO ever since it came out, and to me no other game was like it, jsut for what you said, HUGE maps. You can go literally forever by helicopter or truck (which can sometimes be a detriment if the map wasn't built well with vehicles in mind). The modders still surprise me with quality well story lined CO-OP maps. I play for Thundering 3rd, mainly under ICE. I also play Hard Maps under standard and Escalation. I play mostly every week, I love it.

I loved how easy it was to customize maps for those games. You could literally spend a day playing the game and join no two identical maps.

Last I heard, the entire company was a couple of guys in an apartment. They've been releasing stuff on the same engine from JO.

Yes, they've been very complacent the last few years in the consumer space. I may be confusing them with someone ekse, but I thought someone told me once that they make a lot of money selling military simulators to the US military.

I think that's the only explanation for how they could've possibly survived since their last major release (JO) in 2004. Sorry, but I don't consider their "Delta Force Xtreme" releases new; I think all they did was recreate old Delta Force missions in the JO engine, right?

there are videos out on the web from years back that the US military was using them for strategic operation training using the novalogic series especially DF2 back in the day so probably still doing similar stuff with the JO engine ill try to find some videos of it when i get home. but im very pleased to see a new Df game coming out ive played since DF1 all the way to BHD which i loved played a little bit of JO but computer was horrible at the time and never got back on it after taht. i hopeits good because i will def buy it

My first online game was Delta Force 2. I loved that game so much, that was what PC gaming was all about. Huge maps and freedom. Same with JO. I think JO was better than BF2, the only reason why I stopped playing it is because people started to abandon the game and the online play wasn't as fun as it was before. Also lack of support from Novalogic. I hope Novalogic can comeback to life with Angel Falls, because I am sick and tired of playing all these BF, Call of duty games that are so overhyped for what they are worth.
