There has probably been a good amount of fixes/tweaks rolled in since 180.42, you might as well run the official driver.

I noticed a huge improvement in Far Cry 2.

Very impressed.

Research finds that people still heart physical discs, greatly prefer Blu-ray to streaming

Yeah, while streaming of HD content might work in europe or asia where most people have a really fast broadband connection, there is still a lot of people in the USA who either are on dial up or a slow broadband connection that isnt really fast enough to stream HD.

I'm in the US on a Comcast broadband connection and I greatly prefer physical blu-ray and dvd discs. If I'm buying a movie, I want a tangible copy. I hope physical media for film doesn't die any time soon.

Seems WiC runs good judging by this place:

Im not keen on this set myself, I like the XTG 180.42.

But I guess its good that multi monitor SLI exsists now.

OK, dumb question: I'm about to update my video driver and I want to go ahead and get the latest version. Guru3D only mentions support for GeForce 8, 9, and GT200 cards. Are these meant for the earlier series like the 6 and 7 or not?

Hey, thanks.

I guess I'll install 178.24, then.

These caused major stuttering in Left 4 Dead on my rig. I didn't try any other games, but I went back to the 178.24 drivers and everything is fine.

I've just installed the 180.48 modded version for laptops via LaptopVideo2go on my Dell Vostro(8600M GT chip).

Two minor issues in Control Panel,it won't let me select "application controlled " for AA(always set to "off" ),however I can live with that since I don't game or use AA much on my laptop, the other issue is Nvidia CP reports DX8.1,Vista reports DX10.

I'll probably try a different version later.

The new 180.70 drivers allow me to run F@H GPU, with nearly ZERO CPU time used!!!

Before, it used to take an entire CPU core to keep the GPU fed, while running under XP. This is truely an amazing step forward, and key to my building a quad-GPU folding rig, running on a meager AMD dual-core CPU. (See my thread in DC forum)
