Salt -- 7/10
Don't have much to say about this one. Better than I was expecting, entertaining action flick.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower -- 9/10
Really liked this one. Not sure why everyone seems to think Emma Watson was a huge miscast, I thought she did pretty well. Really liked the guy that played Patrick, and it was refreshing to see Paul Rudd a bit outside of his normal role. I didn't read the book, but my wife did, and she said it was a decent adaptation. I was surprised, I can't remember the last time she's said that about a book-turned-movie.

Argo 9/10

Didn't think I'd like this, since this genre of movie always has the same elements - almost being caught, etc. Seen one, you've seen 90% of them. Well, I was proven wrong, great film, and very interesting seeing all the different sides involved in and how it played out.

The Croods

9/10

The movie itself was beautiful. Excellent animation & brilliant cg. The story was pretty typical for a family movie, some pretty funny parts & some parts to make the wife tear up. Great family flick though.

I saw one man's hero yesterday, it's a movie with tom berenger about the saint patrick's batallion during the mexican-american war.
The story is quite linear and straightforward. It flows well though and is entertaining.

Oh yeah I've seen that. Cheaply made but a good story anyway.

eXistenz - 4/10

Yeah I watched a movie from 1999 but I heard about it and was interested. Overall I found it pretty weak. I was really annoyed with the plot, it felt like they were just throwing wacky ideas all over the place with little substance. There are some glaring elements of the main characters that made no sense throughout the movie and the "Mind f*ck" ending seemed more of a cop out. The acting was pretty mediocre. The whole time I was watching this movie I just kept thinking how much better "Inception" was, I know that is an unfair comparison but oh well.

rock of ages - 5/5

my mom really likes this movie and had been bugging me to watch it in my theater but i told her not until i had all my speakers. and now since i have all of them we all watched it last night. this is actually the first movie that i watched with everything hooked up and i holy crap it sounded amazing!

i gotta first say that i HATE HATE musicals in general, and didn't really know this was a music until we sat down to watch it. i thought it was just more about tom cruise as a rock star. but i gotta say i thought it was a REALLY fun movie. also i recognized nearly every song in the movie so that helped me enjoy it too. tom cruise did a great job as did baldwin and everyone else. and HOLY SHIT the main chick is SMOKING HOT i had never seen her before. i might watch foot loose just so i can see her in it.

Daydream Nation - 7/10. I only watched this cause I'm a Kat Dennings fan. It was an OK flick with a weird subplot or 2.

Planet of the Apes (1968) - 7/10. I bought the Blu Ray box set on the cheap and decided to watch the first one last night. It was pretty good.

red dawn - 2/5

movie is a pretty bad movie but it has a lot of explosions and action so it was entertaining. sound is pretty damn great on it too. very cheesy and corny with some horrible acting, but i was entertained while watching it even though it was pretty bad and totally unbelievable.

stolen - 0/5

just an overall terrible movie. it's laughably bad at parts. i probably would have given it 1/5 if nicholas cage wasn't in it, but it lost a point because he was in it. definitely the worst movie i've seen in a long long time.

Spiders 3D - 2/10 - Bad movie. Could have been a SyFy weekly movie that has better CGI.

Total Recall (remake) - 7/10
Not as bad as I expected, and they changed enough of the storyline to make it somewhat unique, but not as good as the original.

Children of Men 9/10 came about in about 2006. Clive Owen. Terrific movie. Strongly recommend. Children of Men (2006) - IMDb www.imdb.com/title/tt0206634/

I can't watch this movie again, but it was amazing the first time through. I just can't believe
that they killed off Julianne Moore so early!

i wasn't a huge fan of the movie but there were some scenes that looked like really long straight shots that i thought were really cool.

Apparently, they stitched the shots together to make them appear like longer takes than they were.

We made it maybe seven minutes into this movie before turning it off. D:

Evil Dead - 8.5/10: Very well done remake, that has a few problems near the end, but overall an extremely fun horror experience.

Spring Breakers - 9.5/10: Not for everyone, but I freaking loved this movie. It looked and sounded amazing, plus Franco was amazing. Awesome flick.

Paranormal Activity 4 - 2/10

I did enjoy the 3rd Paranormal Activity quite a bit so I was pretty interested in the 4th one and it stinks. The interaction with the Xbox Kinect was the only good thing in the movie, the rest of it was the same old story. You might as well queue up Aerosmith's "Same Old Song and Dance", it is the SAME EXACT formula as the previous 3 and adds NOTHING to the story or lore. I can't blame them for wanting to milk the crap out of this franchise but could they maybe add a little creativity to the story? Would that be so hard? I really hope the next one bombs

The Grey - 7/10. Pretty good flick.

Shaun of the Dead - 9/10. I finally watched this from start to finish. I never thought the zombie apocalypse could be so funny.

Cloverfield - 7/10. I thought that I'd hate this one. They did a good job with the camera work.
