Sunshine 8.5/10 (Although I'd like to give it a 10/10 subjectively)

A solid  from me for this one.

Yeah first 2/3 = fantastic, 10/10.Sunshine 8.5/10 (Although I'd like to give it a 10/10 subjectively)
It concerns a crew of astronauts whose mission is to reignite the sun which has started dimming and dooming the earth to eventually freeze 50 years into the future.
The music and cinematography are outstanding.
The tone of the movie changes 2/3 of the way in and there is seemingly a huge flaw concerning the ship and mission.
However, good sci-fi in which the adversary isn't aliens but an environmental factor that must be overcome is rare. And I like the first parts of the movie and the ending so much that the flaws and inconsistencies are forgivable for me.
Watching Banshee now. On eposide 8/10, great series, sad i am almost done with it for now.
Yeah it's rather preposterous at times, but i think i am at episode 10...i believe the last one?
Entertaining series for sure, even if rather unbelievable most of the time.
Slither - 6/10
I typically really like movies from James Gunn. This one started out great, but got meh towards the midpoint, and stayed there. Better than average, but far below my hopes.
Les Miserables The Musical Movie 6/10 - Why do they insist on casting people who can't sing in a singing role?
Guys and Dolls did one better:
1. Non-singer in singing role (Marlon Brando);
2. Singer in mostly non-singing role (Frank Sinatra).
MotionMan
Oz: The Great and Powerful 2/10:
Horrible. Simply horrible. Took my daughter to it. 1st off its WAY too long. 2nd it's WAY too scary for younger kids 3rd: The story is HORRIBLE. The acting is horrible.
I give it 2 simply because Mila Kunis is in it and she wears tight leather pants. (but only for half the movie)
Oblivion - IMAX - 7/10
Beautiful movie. Cinematography and effects get a 10/10. Plot was interesting and the movie did a decent job of character development while explaining the background of the circumstances the world was in.
Cruise did a good job in the movie as there are only 5 characters in the movie so he really did carry it.
Its a little over 2hrs, felt long - but cinematography was gorgeous so I didn't mind.
From what you said, the only negative is that it is longer than it should be. Any other negatives?
commando - 10/10 - my wife had never seen this and it was on amazon prime streaming so we watched it. i forgot how awesome this movie is and how many great 1 liners there are. the action scene at the end where he storms the compound is just so cheesy awesome. there are 20 people shooting at arnold but no one can hit him, he turns and fires a burst in their general direction and hits 5 of em. just classic action stuff. awesome movie.
teenage mutant ninja turtles (original) - 11/10 - another one i hadn't seen in probably over 10 years, and my wife had never seen it either. i got the trilogy on bluray a couple weeks back so we popped it in. god this movie is just amazing still to this day. i still remember pretty much every line in the movie from seeing it so many times as a kid. i also can't believe the effects in that movie especially for it's time. the turtles just look awesome and the choreography is great too. whoever the actors are in the costumes are amazing as well. i felt like i was 10 years old again watching it.
Oblivion 8/10
I have no idea why the critics are panning this movie. I found it thoroughly enjoyable and well done. Not on par with 2001 a space odyssey or other space epics, but still darn good. Well worth the $11 I paid to see it in the theater.
