Couldn't disagree more with Donnie Darko. I would give it 9/10. Guess that makes me weird too.

It was a 9/10 the first time for me, 8/10 the second, and maybe 6/10 the 3rd.

Regarding The Leftovers, Lindelof said he wouldn't explain what caused the people to disappear by end of season 1. Hopefully that doesn't kill the series before it gets off the ground.

I think you have to watch it more than once to get the most out of it.

I was watching it with someone who had already seen it at least 1 other time...so she was pointing out stuff she noticed so I kinda picked up on it.

It was very angsty since it was taking part with highschool aged kids, maybe I would feel differently if I watched it 15 years ago. But for seeing it for the first time at 29 years old, I'd give it a thumbs down.

American Hustle:
4/10: Boring. Movie seemed to DRAG on for a movie with such big names in it. Jennifer was hot as always but unfortunately had a terrible character. Shame that they made the guy from Limitless such an asshole.

Insipid Chick flick. Boring. Contrived. Commercial (product placement for RealDoll) despite low budget and limited wanna-be indie appeal.

Guy murders his doll that he was delusional about when he starts getting interested in a real girl. Instead of acting horrified, everyone acts like it's a breakthrough or touching. Instead of being horrified at the thought of what he might do to her when he meets someone else, the girl that's been interested in him the whole movie acts like it's endearing.

No desire to watch it a 3rd time, after it was revealed to be so mediocre upon review.

Hatchet 3 6.5/10
All three of these are pretty fun unstoppable killing machine movies like Friday the 13th only less boring. Lots of good kills, gore, and practicle effects. One of the things I really like about them is that each sequel picks up exactly where the last movie ended so they are more like one movie if you were to watch them all back to back. Plot is fairly standard. Netflix streaming.

I think you have to watch it more than once to get the most out of it.

I only watched it the once... I think the suspense of he might get caught adds a lot to the film, so knowing what is going to happen might actually make it worse for me. I only watched it the once when I was about 25 and had no desire to see it again. But I still loved it.

Nope. He spontaneously took her into extremely cold water the moment his brother and sister in law turned around. The doc made it clear that he was doing all this and it was clear to the viewer that it was prompted by him finally warming up to a real girl at the bowling alley "date" scene when his "relationship" with the doll suddenly conflicted with his new interest.

He's a scary dude.

I watched the Lego Movie last night with my family and laughed my ass off. I think 90% of the dialog is over the heads of most kids that are under 10 or so. My 6 year old was completely confused and looked at me like I was crazy.

The creators of the movie just did so many things so well. It hit on social commentary without being preachy about it, actually had a very good message without being too over the top sappy, and was just a wild ride of laughs and inside jokes. Overall a highly entertaining movie.

tallhotblond - 9/10 - A documentary. But man, Hollywood can not write this kind of stuff. Sex, intrigue plot twists. This documentary had me repeating to myslef "this can't be real" several times.

Talhotblond is a true story movie based on the internet chat room murder involving Thomas Montgomery and "tallhotblonde".

The real story began in 2005 in New York where police say that 47-year-old Thomas Montgomery shot and killed 22-year-old Brian Barret so that he could have Jessi all to himself.

Jessi, who went by the screen name Talhotblond, struck up a conversation in a teen chat room with Thomas Montgomery. Jessi sent sexy internet pictures of herself and Thomas Montgomery sent a photo of himself dressed in a Marine's uniform.

9/10 for pace. Could have been done with 5-10 minutes less footage.

I loved it! So many little things that a young kid wouldnt get but brought back funny memories and just made me laugh.

Robocop 2014 6.9/10
I should give it a 7 but I can't bring myself to do that because I love the orginal. I really expected this to suck but it isn't bad and is fun to watch IF you can watch it wihout constantly thinking of the original. Just have to think of this as a different movie with a robitic cop in it.

I don't care if they never explain what caused people to disappear... But aside from that, he's throwing in all this LOST-esque bullshit (like the disappearing deer) which will probably never be explained, or explained in a stupid way, because he's an asshole.
