For some reason I've never watched any of the Godfather movies.
Well, you're living under a rock in some degree. They are extremely well crafted movies. There's a reason why the first was (maybe still is) the favorite movie of forum members at Rotten Tomatoes. A great many people don't care for the 3rd much, but I think it's not bad at all.

I don't watch anything that's "on."

If you mean you don't have cable or satellite, I don't either. Sometimes, however, when I go to people's houses they want to watch movies or shows or something. GotG is passable enough to watch again in that situation in lieu of going off to do something else or leaving.

A Walk Among the Tombstones - 7.5/10

Neeson is just a badass. Pretty good movie but not outstanding.

Hunger Games - 7.5/10 -- The first one. Twas on TV a few days ago. Watched it for J.Law. She's excellent in it. Holy shit on the violence though.

I don't recall any graphic violence, or is it just that some of it involves kids?

Hunger Games Mockingjay: Obviously the series has run out of steam. Lack of interest. Lost its momentum. Time to conclude the series. I'd give it 2 out of 5.

Into The woods: While entertaining, it is a musical. Songs about magic beans and white cows. Maybe a 3 out of 5.

The Hobbit Five Armies: Not a Hobbit fan, but it was entertaining. A strong 3 out of 5.

Night at the Museum The Tomb: Yawn. Same old stuff. Rebel Wilson only character worth watching. 2 out of 5.

Wild: Interesting, but would not watch again when out on TV or disk. Just fell short. Something was not right with production. Failed to involve the audience. Weak 3 out of 5.

The Imitation Game: Brilliant! Historical must see. Definitely 5 out of 5.

That's it for me, so far.

Unbroken, Birdman, The Gambler, Big Eyes next on my list to see.
And as a B-movie horror fan, I have to check out The Babadook.
Probably not until stream able.
As for "The Interview", I can easily wait for HBO.

I watched American Beauty for the first time just a few days ago, on Netflix. Holy cow, what a great movie. Probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. 10/10 easily.

I, Frankenstein - 7.5/10 (if you liked Underworld, Hansel & Gretel, other fantasy-action popcorn movies; if not probably 5/10 for you)

Aaron Eckhart plays the monster, in modern times fighting other monsters. Fun if you like dumb action movies.

Very good movie, but the scene with the plastic bag is hard to watch, and not in a good way. The meaning behind it and his monologue are fine, but his laughably pretentious video just gives me massive douche chills.

Ali - 0/10 - Utter crap. If it were fiction, you would have no idea what was going on. In terms of it being a docudrama:
docu: I learned nothing and even feel a bit stupider having watched it.
drama: no emotional attachment to characters, disjointed story.

Toss in a few scenes that should have been cut.
Boooooo

It's on Netflix and Crackle. So even if you don't have Netflix you can still see it for free via Crackle.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies - 5.5/10: So saw this in 3D, 48 FPS, and D-Box on New Year's Day. Such a disappointment and by far the the worst film of the series. Needed a lot more Bilbo (Freeman is by far the best thing about these films and he is barely in this one) and a lot fewer CGI orcs (I really miss the real orcs from the LOTR films). It did have some cool moments, the final 1-on-1 fight for example was great, but honestly this was a weak film which was probably hurt even more by the fact that it resumes exactly where the last film ended, which means it took me about 30 minutes to even remember who everyone was since I had not seen Smaug in over a year. It's a real shame because I actually really enjoyed the first of these three films, but by the end I just wanted the whole thing to be finished.

By the way, skip D-Box, I just found it kind of distracting.

The Judge -- 8/10
Caught this at the 2nd run theater yesterday with the wife (because honestly, who doesn't love a movie for $2.50/ticket?). Different than I was expecting, but I don't know why. Apparently I've associated Robert Downey Jr with comedy now ... and while this one had a couple funny one-liners, it certainly wasn't a comedy.

Robert Duvall was great, and I think RDJ was the right choice for the role alongside him. I'd watch it again.

Yeah i was not a fan of it.
I also didn't like the second one.
I don't remember the first one well, but my IMDB rating says i liked it the most. Somehow i doubt i'll feel quite the same if i rewatch it, but yeah, the trilogy (which never should have been that many movies) was remarkably inferior to LOTR is pretty much every single aspect.

I don't see myself every paying for Douche-Box seating, but good to know it sucks.

tusk - 4/10 - first 70% or so was pretty good, but then it just got really stupid. and the costume is ridiculous. when they showed him the first time is just about when it got awful. do not recommend. it just gets worse and worse. then it ends very dumb.

Finally got around to watching the last two Harry Potter movies the other day. Got them on BD as a gift and completely forgot I had them sitting around.

Not bad if you liked the series.

I haven't seen Five Armies yet but I did not like the first Hobbit. I was so bored with the first one waiting to end. If he cut down the movies into two I'm sure the pacing would have been a lot better. The Hobbit movies just feel too drawn out for me.

Yeah, second film was a snooze to me, except for the barrel part which I thought was fun.

D-Box just moves and vibrates the seat while you are watching. So when Smaug is flying around, the seat is moving around in the same direction as he flies. Yes, it is as stupid as it sounds.

This one was the most drawn out for me. Did not help that it essentially started with a climax, then slowed to a crawl, but it also lacked the opening excitement of the first one.

If you liked the second film, you may enjoy this one, but I really only enjoyed the first film. Regardless, I can't imagine re-watching any of this trilogy; would much rather just go back and watch the original LOTR films.

Kill Bill 1 and 2 -6/10 - Not much makes me happy any more I guess. It's hard to say a Quintin movie is cookie cutter but I don't think was one of his better works. Too long. I thought part 2 was better. Especially the parts where Mommy was being trained at temple.

Someone else mentioned I, Frankenstein. Started it but havn't finished it. Seems interesting. Finally, a new take on an old story which I appreciate. No rating yet.
