The good dinosaur 5/10. Thats for the lifelike environment that was really good.
Worst Pixar movie I've seen..

The Intern. 6/10
. What a complete waste of time. Had to stop watching halfway through.

The Hateful Eight. 6/10 Really great cinematography with really great performances where nothing happens.

Room. 8/10

The Walk 7/10. First half was a generous 4/10 but second half kept me on my toes. Holy shit that man is insane.

American Experience: The Poisoner's Handbook

8.3/10

It's really not what it sounds like, is a freebie on Amazon Prime.

Interesting documentary on the origins of Forensic Science in the US more or less.

Very well made I thought.

*edit*

Another good one.

Silicon Valley American Experience

8.3/10

Lots of great old school tech info.

The Seven Five -- 8/10 -- A documentary featuring corrupt NYC cops in one of the most violent districts at the height of the cocaine epidemic. No BS re-enactments, just frankly told by all the dirt bags, on all sides, who were involved, with a ton of period footage. Really well done and well worth watching. I think it was from Showtime.

Your scoring confuses me.

Interesting. Thanks gents.

It doesn't sound like whoever uploaded it was a serious pirate though. They would have known to scrub the watermark, right?

Into the Wild (2007, Sean Penn director/writer) 7.5/10

The rating was Rotten Tomatoes'. I won't disagree.

They did a really good job as book-->movie projects go. I read the book a few months ago. Acting mostly really good. They didn't soft pedal a lot of stuff that other people would have, got into the nitty gritty, e.g. actually filmed in Scab City, CA. I especially like the narration done by his sister (actress) here and there pretty much throughout the film. That was done with great sensitivity. It was a nice touch because it conveyed the fact that the one person that McCandless was really close to was his sister.

I liked this movie, I'd probably give it the same rating, for a long time I thought DiCaprio was the actor in the film.

Nah it was that dude from The Girl Next Door. It took me a while to not picture him as that for a while watching it.

Staten Island Summer 8/10: This is on netflix right now, it's a lot like Superbad except with many unknown actors.

I would say it's kindof a hidden gem on Netflix, it was pretty enjoyable.

Only got a 5.6 on imdb, but I watched the trailer and it actually seemed sweet and not unfunny in that "yet another coming of age" movie kind of way.

Interstellar - 8.5/10 - I didn't expect it to be a drama, but it was very good. Female Brand's character was very weak, the lack of any follow up with the son's character at the end, and difficulty in hearing what was being said for some of the son's transmissions knocks it down from a 10.

Jingle All The Way - 3/10: Pretty damn terrible, but it really made me miss Phil Hartman. Loved that guy so much and he was, of course, the best thing about this film.
