You mean that Shaloub was stoned through the entire filming, or that the character he played was actually stoned throughout the story, and they just edited out the "getting stoned" and "references-to-being-stoned" scenes?
Because either situation would offer an interesting new perspective on that film.
It was a few weeks back. They had The Roadshow and a theater nearby got the film. When did you see it? Are they still doing 70mm showings?
I saw the preview for it and thought "damn, this looks cool as hell!" But a few days ago I happened to check the Rotten Tomatoes for it and it was getting completely raped. Although I don't put a whole lot of importance on their ratings it's nice to kind of get a feel for a movie. I'm still not sure on whether or not I'll see it.The Fifth Wave
7/10?
I mean, the movie was ok. It was fairly fun, and except for a ~5 minute sequence in the beginning the effects were well done. No horrible acting or anything, it was just kinda empty. I would have given it 5/10 since it just didn't suck, but there was enough in there to bump it up 2 as long as you aren't looking for any real story at all.
straight outta compton - 10/10 - movie was awesome. i didn't know the story of them because i was too young to realy know what was going on at the time but i was a huge fan of cube and dre when they were solo. i had no clue about the falling out and stuff, and i didnt realize how quick eazy e fell off. the guy who played eazy completely stole the show, he did a great job. just loved the whole vibe to the movie and liked the way they ended it with the credits and the straight outta compton song/video.
That's one I'd like to buy on dvd. Haven't seen it in ages. Also started watching the original X-Files. Only about 4 episodes in, but that show is pretty amazing, even though it is over 20 years old at this point. The characters are so great and the stories are fun interesting. Hope it stays that way!

It's not a bad movie, but don't get tricked into thinking it's an action movie, or a horror movie, or really even an apocalypse movie either. It's mainly a setup for a sequel that could be any of those things, and it has it's moments where you think it's leaning towards a sixth sense twist or some sort of phycological thriller, but it never materializes.I saw the preview for it and thought "damn, this looks cool as hell!" Finally go to see Kingsman: The secret Service 8/10
I held off on seeing this for some odd reason. I actually enjoyed it very much. Didnt realize it was rated R. Which is why i probably didnt see it in the first place.

Probably. Was supposed to see it tonight, but snow, etc. Although the tv show was on for, 3 seasons I think. So there was probably a lot of additional material.is this the same as the tv show last decade starring Traci Lords (child porn star) turned actress?
