"Hail, Caesar!" 8.5/10 (HBO Go)
I like most Coen Bros. films and I really liked this one. It might even be a 9/10. I was falling asleep the first time I watched it on HBO Go. Then I caught it airing live while I was troubleshooting a TV issue and watched the second half again. Like "The Big Lebowski," you get a lot more out of it from successive viewings. It feels like there's a bit of Wes Anderson in this. I kept wondering what Roger Ebert would have thought. Seeing the depiction of behind-the-scenes Hollywood cinema from that era was fascinating. The acting was excellent. Subtle humor made me laugh out loud multiple times.
Yeah. I'm leaning a bit closer to 9/10 now.
