Kevin Hart: What Now? 2/10. Simply not funny. It's like Kevin has been living in suburban L.A. for way too long. Hell, I can be funnier than that. Totally uninspired and totally not funny.
I go ghey forfor teh lulz, is anyone still watching Quantico ? and Suits ?
want to fill me in for, say, the last 2 years?

I got a 4K TV recently and I guess it has HDR capability though I haven't investigated and tested that specifically. But before I didn't realize there were like two choices for 4K disc players, the most reasonable of which is probably the Samsung one for $275 though that's only a player (maybe I could hook it up to my existing LG Bluray player from my HTIB setup? Dunno). At least you can stream some 4K content through Amazon Video (not sure about Netflix, probably though too).
Orly? Do you think that would be compatible with my LG home-theater-in-a-box? Like could I hook it up to the LG receiver I have, and have my 5.1 speakers output the proper sound? I'm pretty sure the receiver has an HDMI input if that's what's needed.4K UHD Blu Rays are on another level vs Netflix 4K HDR streaming. Can't match the physical disc bit rate. Get an Xbox One S. 4K UHD player and you can find it under $200.
TV is two years old. Need to get my daughter back into Nintendo WiiTime to replace that TV with something that does HDR. Makes a hell of a difference.

Um, for sound I just have the receiver connected to the speakers via the regular speaker wire that came with the unit. Then the receiver is connected to my TV via HDMI. The only other "sound" aspect, I'd say, is that I connect my receiver to my PC via optical cable so I can play computer sound through my home theater system. It should be just fine. Are you doing sound over ARC or optical right now with your receiver?
If you plan on doing Xbox --HDMI--> Receiver --HDMI--> TV you have to make sure your receiver supports HDCP 2.2.
Otherwise you'll have to do Xbox --HDMI--> TV and Receiver --Optical-->TV and set your sound settings accordingly.

I'm not sure if the receiver supports HDCP. My unit is the LG LHB336 but that page doesn't mention HDCP that I saw. I will check the manual at home. Thanks for your help btw!
