Enjoyed it. Definitely a 9/10.
Predictable movie involving the Toretto gang saving the world and nice added "family" members. Charlize Theron's character is crazy/psychotic as usual.

Blacklist: Redemption [3/10]

This spin off is a train wreck!
- so many plot holes
- sloppy writing as if it was thrown together in 2 days
- and the plot twist at the season finale was a WTFBBQ convoluted mess of M. Night Shyamalan proportions!

I hope when the regular Blacklist comes back next week that the whole series was a dream and the 1st scene is Tom waking up from a nightmare.

Rushmore 9/10 (HBO Go)

I'm a sucker for Wes Anderson movies. You probably already know if you like his movies or not.

This definitely had a few things in common with The Life Aquatic.

Finally I was able to watch Get Out at last. The movie started out slow but it was very decent with the plot and twist. I just did not like the TSA guy with too much colorful langue (trying too hard to be funny IMO). Will give the movie 8/10. Love the director (Peele) from way back when with MadTV on Fox. Oh, the movie was made under $5 million USD and took in over $100 million USD and counting.

Kong - Skull Island. 7/10 because of the very darn good CGI (6/10 for the movie). C. Reilly was very funny, especially toward the end. Other than that, I like the Kong movie in the 70s with Jessica Lang and Jeff Bridge better.

I wasnt expecting much obviously from this type of movie. But it just wasnt funny...at all. I may have barely chuckled 2 times the whole movie.

Oasis (Amazon Original series): Episode 1 -- 6.5/10

Couldn't decide whether to give this a 6.5 or 7. It's not anything great but I think Richard Madden is good in the lead and I want to watch more to see what happens so I guess it's not completely bad. It's a sci-fi series that takes place in the near future where a small group of people has started the first off-world colony on a distant world (I was thinking at first it was Mars but it's some other non-Solar System planet). It also has Haley Joel Osment in a minor role; man it's weird seeing him all grown up when I remember watching him as a kid in A.I. I'm getting old.

Agreed, I enjoyed it. I was even able to look past the fact that you can't remote control a submarine nor could it keep up with a bunch of supercars.

I thought the Cuba race scene was cool too.

Just wrapped up Luke Cage. I'll just say that with a certain character the show was fantastic. Solid 8.5/10. With the other character for the last 5-6 episodes I lost interest pretty quickly. 6/10 at most for the last few episodes. The end fight scene was pretty anti-climatic also IMO.

Moonlight 7/10

For me the first 40 minutes or so were a solid 9/10. It had the potential to be so much more. I was so disappointed with what they did with what they had going.

13 Reasons Why, so far a 7/10. We're just three episodes in. Girl kills herself and leaves behind tapes to different people who were part of the reason why she did it. It slowly unfolds to explain why, and what the people had to do with it. It is in 4K so looks amazing too. Kind of a high school drama, but seems to have a real message to it. About bullying and suicide in high school.
