I can set you up with a cat or three.
If I get a cat I figure it will be a pair of kittens. I'm told they are happier when they have a feline companion. I'm not sure I would like the result. I have always loved cats, but I have never had my own pets. There's the downside of pet ownership to consider.

There's a downside??? Are you referring to their relative short life? Given decent food and kidney health supplements, I think a cat would easily last 15 years before becoming senile.

Cats don’t get out of kittenhood without going senile.
How long is kittenhood supposed to be? I see a lovely cat almost every day that had kittens (and lost them somehow or maybe they were taken by someone) and she seems pretty fine to me. Not senile at all. She's fed by some kind soul and she likes the shop she sits outside of and sometimes the shopkeeper will let the cat inside his shop so she can enjoy the AC

Food, shots, other vet visits, cat fur, kitty litter rotation, etc., dead birds and rodents brought into the house, meows, scratched furniture, kittie disappearing for weeks or forever, being distracted from whatever, cat fights, cats in heat making a ruckus, dead companions, needing to get a cat sitter or at least a feeder, etc. if you leave town, .... To name a few...

Great points!

I got almost 50 Blurays (most of them unopened) from this South African guy in return for my old PC and 850W NIB EVGA PSU because he ended up paying about $1200 to the vet when his cat got sick. I think he figured that his Blurays wouldn't sell for much so he was trading them for hardware that he could refurbish and sell for profit.

Watched the four episodes of The Witcher: Blood Omen. Apparently this is one of the lowest rated Netflix shows ever. It wasn't nearly that bad. Not as good as the regular show The Witcher but not terrible. We're people review bombing it because some of the Elves weren't Lily white? Because one character was homosexual? Given what happened with Rings of Power it wouldn't surprise me.

Sunshine - a 2007 sci-fi movie that was actually quite good. Some of the visual choices in the last 30 minutes by the director for some of the action stuff was kind of annoying but overall the movie was atmospheric and interesting and posed some interesting questions. 6.5/10

6.5/10 and this is a HIGH score from me, considering I'm not a dog person.

There were moments in the movie where tears rolled off my cheeks. Maybe I'm getting too old and foolish, or the director filmed those moments quite competently.

The ending destroys the whole film. It really sucks and I’ve had no desire to watch it a second time.

I rewatched Jerry Maguire the night before Wildcard Weekend, it's my most ever watched movie, the only one in double digits. Cuba Gooding Jr. really deserved that best supporting actor Oscar. The casting was excellent across the board, and, of course, seeing actual famous NFL stars and broadcasters was cool.

Bones and All - 7/10

Gave this one a shot this weekend. Definitely weird. Definitely out there. I thought Timothée Chalamet did an outstanding job (as did his co-start and supporting actors). it's a wild ride of a drama/horror about cannibals that live among us and their teenage love story. I was entertained and I thought Mark Rylance who plays "Sully" stole every scene he was in (easier to do with an oddball character IMO).

Worth the watch if you like "weird" and like "horror".

Thought the first episode was very good. In the video game Tess and Joel go after the guy who stole the battery. In the movie they condensed that scene down a bit.

Still a great first episode.

Never played the game, but super entertaining. Gives me Children of Men vibes a little.

I haven't kept up with that particular Internet drama, but it could also be some collateral damage from the situation surrounding Henry Cavill's departure from the Witcher? Me personally, I was wondering why the heck I would watch something set in the Witcher universe just minus the Witcher. What next, Star Wars with no Sith or Jedi? Dune minus Dune?

Gladiator (2000 film, Extended edition)

It doesn't add anything worthy of note to the theatrical release, IMO. I wouldn't recommend it.

Aubrey Plaza must have a *very* minimal role in this film, if Alison Brie is the only reason to watch it.
Aubrey has maybe less than 20 minutes of screen time in the movie. I think she is only in it coz this is supposed to be some sort of movie all of these actor "friends" got together to make.
