I didn’t play the game, but might now. Pretty sure it’s a freebie on the PS5. My only complaint of the show is that the infected were barely seen.
It's not a freebie on PS5. The PS5 remaster of the remaster hasn't really even dropped below $50 I don't think.

Alice in Borderlands (season 1) 9/10

Netflix adaptation
In Japanese with English subs.

Binged it. Loved it.
Like the tv show Lost.
Slow mysteries reveal a little more each episode.
Plus well executed plot twists.

Only plot hole was why did Hatter pretend to shoot the x-sdf guy with an empty gun?

Watched Shazam! Fury of the Kings (the title in UAE) in IMAX

Writers these days must think all kids 13 and under are really dumb.

Plenty of visually appealing scenes. Some good humor. But mostly, things happen out of the blue and leave you scratching your head. Or really bad scenes that make no sense and characters surviving stuff they shouldn't. It wasn't Quantumania bad but it could have been better.

6/10

Your Honor - 8.5/10 - Showtime

2 seasons, 20 episodes, that take place in New Orleans. Staring Bryan Cranston, whose performance is on par with Breaking Bad.

Did you see the first Shazam? If you did, which sucked more?

I guess the first one was better because I don't remember thinking it was silly and inexplicable.

Saw the trailers for Flash and Guardians of Galaxy 3. The former looked pretty interesting while the latter seemed boring.

i watched Shazam! - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448115/

i have no idea how this has a 7.3 on IMDb

The initial gimmick is the subverted "unlikely hero" story; a young kid is taken before a powerful mage, to be the chosen one. Except that he's a stupid, spoiled brat so he's thrown back to his parents. Only when evil triumphs and there is noone left, the mage decides to make do and he transforms him into Shazam!

Armed with his newlyfound powers, and befriending a nerdy, bullied kid, Shazam mixes crass behaviour with heroics, in a you-totally-seen-it-before mixture of Deadpool-vulgarity and Goonies-feelgood, except it's neither. The adult humour is childish and the child humour is not enough childish. And the plot is uber-predictable, so, im really not sure how this got more than a 6 on IMDb.

Dont go in expecting a edgy film like Kick-Ass or Scott Pilgrim, or Deadpool, or Orgazmo, or literally ANY film that tried to subvert the superhero genere. It's an unfunny comedy with a ... i didnt even think this was possible but it's literally a feel-good movie that doesnt make you feel good.

5.5, maybe 6 at best.

Oh man, wait till you see the sequel

There's lots of stuff happening on screen but it's like the live action version of some crazy kids cartoon.
yeah well i'm gonna be waiting a looooooong time.

You know, 10 years ago i was downloading *everything*. EVERYTHING.
Every episode of family guy, american dad, simpsons, every stephen colbert, john oliver, every hollywood film, every foreign film, i would check YTS three times a day, read reviews, i wanted to watch everything. My life was a mixture of FOMO and gloating. And this, went on for a long time.

.. but .. i can't keep up anymore. This is even counting only the good stuff, you still got 3-4 hours of content to watch every single day, plus whenever a big release drops, be it a Netflix serial (why the fucking call them serials anymore i dont know if they release the whole thing at once), a big AAA film .. it's just too much stuff. It's become a chore.

Started watching 1899 on Netflix. It's already gotten pretty out there. But I'm in to see if the payoff is worth it. Reviews are pretty good

Finished You season 4. I thought it started to go a bit sideways on episode 4 of part 1, and part 2 went way more downhill. I thought season 4 was terrible and I probably won't watch another season if they make one.

I tried getting into South Park again and it was rough. When I was 18 I could appreciate the dirty humor and even the social commentary. Its been going on too long now, and it doesnt make me laugh any more. And after season 5 most episodes feel too similar. Occasionally they strike comedy gold but thats too rare.

Old South Park: 10/10
New South Park: 2/10

Alice in Borderland Season 2 6/10 It's dragging. About halfway through, hopefully it picks up.

edit: finished it. Well, at least it has a finish. Not sure it was worth my time. Season 2 feels like they didn't spend enough time working on the script. They keep breaking suspension of disbelief.

back when they introduced PC Principal is when i thought the show really died, and i went back and did a massive binge of the older episodes, and you know what, they are still incredibly funny. Season 16 was still pretty damn funny, and season 15 has The Last of The Mehicans which is one of the greatest things i have ever seen.

i'm watching it now.
it's nowhere as good as s1 mainly.
humans are vulenterrily working for the GameMasters where as in S1, they were forced to by exploding collars.
Hero has a deep conversation with the King of Clubs but doesnt ask WHY they're working for the GameMasters nor HOW did they get recruited.
Given hiw sharp and logical Hero was in S1, i expected him to at least ask those questions in that conversation.
But nope.

Also, why is it called Alice?

Arisu is pronounced more like Alice in Japanese, and it does draw from Alice in Wonderland. Usagi is rabbit in Japanese. Here is the link to the source material.

It was pretty clear the good players become game masters from their convo.

Japanese pronunciation tends to drop most "u" at the end of words, but rather use it as a stressor on the previous letter, so in reality Arisu would be written as Ariss.
They are do not differentiate specifically between R and L, but rather pronounce a weird "w" sound that is in between, and they shift between R and L depending on the word, so for example "hiRoshi" has a very clear R, while the example above, Arice, has nearly a L.

Ya ever notice Timothy Carhart and Timothy Hutton and Timothy Matheson all look alike?
Timothy Carhart, Timothy Hutton, and Timothy Matheson share the same first name and are all male actors, but they do not necessarily look alike.
Timothy Carhart is known for his roles in movies such as "Ghostbusters" and "Thelma & Louise." He has a square-shaped face, prominent jawline, and thick eyebrows.
Timothy Hutton, on the other hand, is known for his roles in movies such as "Ordinary People" and "The Falcon and the Snowman." He has a more oval-shaped face, a slightly pointed chin, and a prominent nose.
Timothy Matheson is known for his roles in movies such as "Animal House" and "The West Wing." He has a more rounded face shape, a prominent nose, and deep-set eyes.
While all three actors are talented and have had successful careers in the entertainment industry, they have distinct facial features and do not necessarily look alike.

Nope
