I watched it last week. I've seen the original one a couple years ago, I think, but I honestly don't really remember much details from it (I was probably drunk at the time, sigh). So I can't really compare it to the original, but as a stand-alone movie I guess it was ok. I'd give it a 6.5/10 maybe? Worth a rent.

Alright, well I won't be watching the old one so this will be first time with the Robocop franchise.

I hope it's at least entertaining

The little boy in the movie was just stupid. I thought he was going to kill his father when he asked his dad if he was going to put the guy outside. Good concept, but the movie wasn't done correctly.

Great performances all around. ScarJo's voice acting is excellent, Joaquin is great, and Amy Adams adds some nice support. Loved the Shanghai exteriors -- knew it looked nothing like LA when I first saw the exterior shots. It's an exploration of relationships and humanity and barely a sci-fi. Future-tech is barely used outside of where required. Definitely came out of this feeling more than I did with 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, or Dallas Buyers Club.

3 days to kill 4/10. just flat out sucked, been there and done that already. Not sure why the main character had a terminal illness or how it played a part in this movie.

Watched Godzilla with my cousin today and wow the movie sucked hard imo. The original sucked too and so did the remake. It's plan old boring predictable plots. They picked the wrong actors for sure. When the movie was over the crowd shouted 'BOO!' that sumed up everything.

Although if you like your power rangers then this movie should be good to go. I give this movie 2.5/10.

If you like Lost in Translation, you'll probably like this. That's also a "nothing happens" sort of movie on the surface.

Was browsing through Netflix and this one popped up. I had never heard of it but upon looking up on IMDB and watching the trailer I was sold it could be good. Turns out it is absolutely fantastic!

This movie shows that there is a lot that you can still do with the zombie/virus genre that hasn't been done before. I'll refrain from saying anything more so you can enjoy it yourself.

Oculus - 7.5/10

We were expecting a run-of-the-mill modern horror movie and were pleasantly surprised. It isn't anything mind-blowing or terribly imaginative but I thought it was solid. It turns out that it was based on a short film from about 10 years ago that got a lot of good reviews.

The acting was a little rough at times but not distracting. I liked the pacing of the movie as a whole but the ending was a tad abrupt. It feels like they may have cut a little bit too much out of film to keep the run-time down.

I don't remember any cheap jump-scares.

If you've liked any horror movies released in the last couple of years, you'll probably like Oculus.

Wow, I totally forgot about that movie! I don't remember much other than I liked it a lot. I'll have to check it out again.

I saw this in our local art house theater. I agree with your 7/10 review. It is a strange show, but I enjoyed it. Not many shows are made in that style any more. I almost felt like I was watching a show filmed in the 60's. Which is probably the point.

A Serious Man is one of my all time favourite movies and is my favourite Coen Brothers movie. I re-watched it again recently and I just love it. Michael Stuhlbarg is freaking amazing in the lead. Hilarious movie too.

It certainly has an odd tone, so I can understand people not liking it, but I'm glad you guys at least liked it to a certain degree.

Generation Um... 3/10 - 'Sad Keanu The Movie' This film was hard to watch. Much of the cinematography is 'home video' style of shooting, so that the camera is hand held and kind of wanders around a lot. Top that off the story is disjointed and not in sequence. Overall the film is less about story and more about emotion, which it does a somewhat decent job of conveying.
I wouldn't recommend it, but if you want to see it Generation Um is streaming on Netflix now.

47 ronin - 7/10 - was an entertaining movie with some cool scenes. i had no clue how "magical" the movie was, but it didn't bother me and was actually kind of welcome. it was a fun movie.

secret life of walter mitty - 8/10 - it was a pretty enjoyable movie with a great message that i can relate to because i also think people need to get out of their comfort zone more and explore. it had some great scenery too. i just didn't like how many day dreaming scenes were in the movie.

godzilla - 5/10 - went in with high expectations, and it was just extremely meh. not nearly enough monster screen time with a stupid love cliched love story thrown in the mix. i just wanted to see monsters destroy a buncha shit when watching this, not family drama. effects were awesome though. movie felt very long to me and i actually was getting bored and ready for it to end.

We're the Millers - I had low expectations for this movie but it had me laughing out loud throughout the movie. It's a little corny at the end but overall I think you'll bust a gut laughing when watching this movie. :thumbsup::thumbsup: 7/10

Bad Grandpa - Some funny bits but overall a huge letdown. Don't bother with this piece of crap. :thumbsdown: 3/10

Taking Chance - HBO seems to air this movie every Memorial Day and I have seen it before but it reduces me to a blubbering mess by the end every time. Based on real-life events, Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, a volunteer military escort officer, accompanies the body of 19-year-old Marine Chance Phelps back to his hometown of Dubois, Wyoming.

Such a great movie and this has to be one of Kevin Bacon's finest performances IMO. 9/10
