Second Best Marigold Hotel: 9/10

This was sort of in the romantic comedy genre but also sad at the same time. And it's not a traditional romcom by any means. I was really drawn in by the characters and their experiences. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is because there were a couple of secondary characters I didn't like. But overall, the acting was superb and probably deserves a 10.

Birdman - 8/10

Interesting story but a little misleading. You figure that out soon enough but it felt like a dick tease. Keaton was pretty good in the lead but I didn't buy his mental issues. And Norton's character was kind of a dick. Although the part was consistently acted, I didn't buy his character at all.

is this the same as the tv show last decade starring Traci Lords (child porn star) turned actress?
What? I was wrong. Not based off the same anything, though the idea is vaguely similar. TV show was first wave, fifth wave was a book released 2013.

Finished the second season of The Bridge (Bron/Broen) - 9/10. Freaking love this show. Thankfully there is still another season to watch!

So awesome. Season 3 (Season 2 spoiler)
isn't the same without Martin, obviously.

Lucifer (tv show) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4052886/reference

wow, this show is really high on the WTF scale. In five minutes it goes from fire-and-brimstone, Constantine' angels and demons, to comedy, to good cop bad cop show.
Basically, Lucifer (the devil) has quit hell and spends his time partying in NYC (or something); then a girl he really likes (he's not a bad guy, mmk?) gets killed and he partners up with a hot and sexy police woman, who for some mysterious reason is immune to his powers, to find the killer.

i know,right?

still, i quite enjoyed it. would rate an easy 7/10, maybe more after a few episodes.

It looked questionable at best from the commercials. I doubt I'll watch this unless it starts getting good reviews.

Yeah, watched the first episode last night and
we kept waiting for her to go visit him or something, then we checked IMDB. Sucks, they were so perfect together. Hopefully the new dude they are sending in episode 2 will be ok.

Started in on Amazon's "Mad Dogs"

Pretty solid thus far with a decent cast of faces that you more or less know but maybe haven't seen in a while.

8.5/10

I liked it. One of the better new movies I've seen recently.

while i am 100% going to see this (when it hits bluray), i'm wondering if you can just answer this without any spoilers really.

a lot of war movies that have battle scenes at night, you simply cannot see wtf is going on very well. is this movie like that as well? i'm thinking back to the pacific's opening episode where it was just like a big fireworks show and you couldn't tell wtf was going on, or in the hurt locker when they are out at night.

is it done any better in this movie or just more of the same?

Had been meaning to watch it myself.

Just watched the pilot, looks like it will really get interesting.

Got another episode in today over lunch. It's staying good.
Not the greatest show in the world, but they do a good job of making you want to come back for more.

Certainly there is some suspension of belief, but I guess that comes with any drama nowadays.

Wild Tales - 8/10

It's a foreign film that contains multiple unrelated stories that's about human life.

Sicario - 8/10

It's a good movie. I was expected there to be more at end. Maybe there will be s sequal?

Kill the Messenger: 8/10 This is a great story about how the CIA-contra-crack connection was revealed and the price paid by the reporter who broke the story. If you've heard of this but never knew the background, you really should check this out.

Ella the Enchanted: 7/10 This is a great story for kids and follows a lot of the fairy tale tropes but also pokes fun at them. It starts with a crazy and narcissistic fairy godmother who gives Ella a "gift" as a baby. Except the gift is more like a curse. I think little girls in particular would like this story. Boys might like it too but it's more of a romantic story so I'm not sure. However it does have elves, ogres (which can be pretty funny) and giants.

I think it is done better than that, but yes there still is some of it.

Thale - On Netlfix - Icelandic. English subs - worth seeing out of 10 - It's not that geat of a movie. But it is free on Netlfix!!!! And it introduces you to some Icelandic folklore. And I absolutely love it when I see decent movies from other countries that introduce more folklore!

Saying more won't help. It really is a mediocre movie. But it is worth seeing. There is a sequel in the works and I have to say that it could be a pretty damned epic sequel if they do not screw it up.

If you want cliffs, read half of the Wikipedia page.

Dear God, I hate that Fight Club rip-off! I own the soundtrack and laugh every time I hear Travolta's character railing against Hollywood and the system for EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG WITH THIS MOVIE.

Not that it is a huge difference, but the movie is Norwegian.

Was pretty good.
If it hadn't been based on real life events I would have thought they were fucked at the end.

It's important to stress however, that this is not just a movie and is based on real life events. That bitch needs to be in prison and the CIA is full of shit.

/soapbox.
