i too liked The Maze Runner, and hated the sequel.
in an effort to waste time like a pro, i watched :
Approaching The Unknown -

absolute garbage. or, if you prefer:
profound, thoughtful garbage.
4/10
also,
Andron, The Black Labyrinth -

warning bells went off when i saw that Danny Glover was in it; when i saw that Alec Baldwin was also in it, i should have shut it off. instead i watched nearly the whole thing.
it's the story told a million times before of a bunch of people with no memory of how they got into this labyrinth ...
and teh labyrinth is like a bunch of assorted sets, from schools, to factories, to parking garages.
these is *some* semblance of filmmaking, but it's just the same shit you've seen done better in other films - you'll think Saw, Cube, Maze Runner, and a whole bunch of 80s films, like the ones Steven Seagal is in.
notable for the inclusion of Skin, that singer from that band Skunk Anansie, in a secondary role.
don't waste your time, it's a really bad film.
5/10
after which i HAD to watch something decent so i took my time machine and leaped back to 1984, when Val Kilmer was really somebody, and watched the impeccable
Top Secret -

hot on the trail of Airplane, it's a classic gags comedy .. i mean, seriously, have you never seen this film? because if you haven't, go see it now. i mean, NOW.
8/10 excellent ! (in a Wyld Stallyns voice)
