Funny thing is I just saw a movie with the same title and I thought it was one of the best comedies in the last couple of years.

Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar was enjoyable. Ridiculous, but enjoyable. I do like Kristen Wiig, though.

"The Many Saints Of Newark", still up in the air about this one. Drama? Comedy? Period piece? Disappointing? Slow? Dull?

Been better closer to the ending of the series maybe. Younger characters didnt fit that well to the older ones. For instance, Sil had the body language down but horrible acting.

Good thing this didnt come out before the series, wouldnt have watched.

I've been watching the Evil Lives Here series the last few weeks, and I'm just amazed how some people could be so cruel/evil.

The one I watched tonight was about two women who locked some of their kids in a closet for weeks/months, starved them most of the time, and at times forced them to eat feces. Thankfully the judge denied the early release petition mentioned in the article below.

I tried to watch Encanto but no go. Though, last weeks encanto music videos keep popping up on youtube and I said to myself wth I should give one a try. They're damn good. I'd say 8-9/10 for the music, the movie I won't rate.

The pressure one is good.

And we don't talk about Bruno no no no that one's catchy af.

Finally got around to watching this, and it was better than I was expecting it to be. I figured it was just going to be a typical lord vs. lord chess match / battle to the death type movie.

Afterwards my wife was sure to tell me how stupid men were.

Man Seeking Woman - FX series on Hulu. Total of 3 seasons and that's the whole thing. Halfway through season 2 and it's pretty good. Funny quirky off the wall comedy about dating. Fun for all ages!

I started watching Archer reruns from back when it was really funny. Season 6 they were drug dealers and now in S07 they're unlicensed PIs - The Figgis Agency. They moved to CA. I guess its S08 or 9 where they start getting into the fever dreams/coma. Those aren't bad I suppose. Especially the one in space. That was seriously comical.

It's been on for a while. I think it's going to take me around 5-6 weeks to catch up - more since I missed the first 3 seasons.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (new one on Netflix).

Meh. Has some moments but overall it's just extremely forgettable and pretty bad. It feels so low budget too (probably is). The very end of the movie was just really stupid too.

The violence/graphic'ness is so extreme and over the top that it is comical and made me laugh instead of cringing.

I watched Ghostbusters: Afterlife

The 2016 reboot was a horribly unfunny wokefest.

GB: Afterlife saved the franchise.

I really enjoyed it and look forward to more sequels.

I didn't really like Afterlife. Watched it last weekend. It was okay but I didn't like how accepting everyone was of all this weird shit going on. I'm also not a Ghostbusters mark or anything.

Only Murders in the Building was a fun watch. A comedy/mystery 10 episode series on Hulu with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.

Star Wars - The Force Awakens

Somehow I tricked myself into watching this film by picking it up in a supermarket bargain bucket. It was pretty disappointing, and I agree with what I'd heard about it and it being labelled 'Star Wars - A Familiar Hope' because there's a lot of recycled material in there, but really my disappointment was that aside from the recycling there wasn't anything remotely new or interesting done with it. A competently executed pile of nothing. It lacked the amusement of say 'A New Hope' to boot.

It pisses me off that there are decent Star Wars plots out there (the original trilogy were generally fairly decent, Rogue One as well, but the pinnacle for me has been KOTOR1&2), and I think Star Wars has some potential for plots with substance, but nothing of substance found its way into this film. The closest thing to an interesting character in it IMO was that orange alien, but that character's involvement seemed to me to reek of sequel fodder even then.

Please watch the other two sequels also. You MUST complete the circle of disappointment. You must unlearn what you know about Star Wars and open your mind to new possibilities of how to mangle a beloved IP. The Force will protect your mind from permanent damage. You must make the hard choice to watch what you don't like for that is the way of the Jedi. Ignoring is too easy and may lead to the Dark side.
