Can you believe that newegg.com raised the price to $109.99 while I was putting my credit card information?! What da flip!!!!!! I still purchased it, though. I just considered the extra $10 as tax. I didn't go with the open box 1950pro because I have heard too many people complaining about artifacts and stuff from open box/refurbished videocards. I am currently running a64 4000+ at 2.9ghz with 2gigs of g.skill pc3200. Oh, my current videocard is radeon 7000 sdr 32mb pci card!!! LOL, I'm serious. I paid $100 for this card a while back.

price jacking FTL. looks like newegg fell in love with doing this
they just took off that instant 10.00 discount.
whatever, I will just wait a bit longer
Your wait is over. It's down to $99.99 with free shipping.

An AC ATI Silencer fixed that problem for me. Near-silent even at 100%, and cools much better than stock. Got it for about $15 from SVC on a sale.

Sorta-necropost. Sorry.

Got in on the 19th w/fs. ATM $99.99 no fs. Still a good deal imo.

LDeg is right, it comes with all those cables he listed.

Fuji mentioned a $500 gaming box. Between rebates, combo deals, newsletter and randomly finding this on the Vid Card front page, I put together a mostly newish box for $300. I love the Egg.

I keep hearing how 1900gts are excellent overclockers, what 1950pros are not. Assuming average OC'ing luck respectively, would you say both cards are roughly equal in high rez settings (1900x1200, perhaps no AA)?

For a little over $115, you could get HIS 1950pro (though it is open box), so this begs for a question.

bump since no one has answered the question yet
little googling reveals rev.1 is definitely better than 1950pro. This would most likely be rev.2 though, in which case both should be nearly equal after overclocking right?

I'm not sure which version it is that we'd get. I hit the sapphire website and their X1900gt has a much different heatsink:

It looks like the fan is positioned completely differently.

Edit:
Maasracer: It sounds like you already have this card. How long is it? I'm getting a small form factor PC and I don't want to get this card if it won't fit inside. I checked Sapphire's website (which prompted my above comment), but it doesn't seem to say.

Its big - prob wont fit inside if space is issue. Case is all tucked away or I would open and measure card. Maybe someone ele can provide exact size?

The more I look at it, the more I think I'll be ok in the size department. I'd have to remove the video card if I needed to add or change the ram, but that's hardly an issue limited to mATX boards. Other than that, there's nothing blocking the length of the card, either on the mobo or in the case.

I may still wait till both arrive so I can be 100% certain.

Would it be worthwhile to grab two of these cards to do crossfire or would I be better off spending $200 on a faster single card?

Btw I am currently using a 850xt and while it plays games alright.. I would like to obtain a slightly better framerate when AA/AF is turned on.
