I know how that one goes I waited to pay off my Condo before I felt comfortable spending too much on a biggwe hobby also.

I am in a relationship with the one I think I'll end up with, but I got into racing before I met her... from what I see with my married friends it was prolly better I raced first LOL

When it comes to racing on the 1/4 mile sure, but whats the best R/T you have ever gotten and how consistant are you with your R/T?

man, come on, all you do at the dragstrip with an auto is see who is the master of pushing the gas pedal really hard when the yellow lights are moving. I mean, as if it weren't easy enough to just go when the light is green, you even get cascading yellows to tell you the light is about to turn green. With an auto you just leave on the middle yellow or whatever, how hard is that?

this car rocks... you can't ask for anything better in it's price, and no, it's not a low quality piece of crap.. go drive a GM (cavalier/sunfire) and compare the 2.

I'd for sure still consider getting one of these as my next car.

The subaru forester XT is uber-sweet though. The freaking ultimate family car IMO. Wife gets her "suv" thing, and the guy is able to race - and keep up with - a multitude of performance cars with the kids in the back - at least up to 80 or so, then the forester is a big, slow sail, with a bad top speed...

I'm still skeptical though - it just doesn't click that their family SUV runs the same times as their top of the line sportscar, the Impreza WRX STi...

Maybe C&D tested a ringer with a not-so detuned STi motor? Who knows... all I know is that it's odd for a supposedly 210HP car to run similar times as it's *300* HP cousin...

Yeah I think the engine is just significantly underrated, and it's torqued such that the thing FLIES off the line. If I recall correct it outperforms the evo in some stupid way, like 0-30 or something like that. Now it's not going to fly on the highway or anything because it is a big brick
