IT WAS YOU GUYS WASN'T IT!

It wasn't me man, believe it or not this is the first B&M deal I have been early enough to get into. When I got to the Henrietta CC I thought that surely all cameras would be gone. Luckily there was only one left, so I got it. I was even nervous that somebody might buy it while I was signing the Credit application! BTW, I got there around noon that day, they open at 10AM. I didn't even make it to work that afternoon.

because people kept calling and got cc all gassed up

Mine said to just give them the store so that they can call them to PM it. They don't care where they are at. I just need a store location.

Yeah, but for those CCs that won't budge, pricematching at BestBuy or other B&M stores is the next option. Can anyone post, PM, or email me a scan (or take a picture with your new G3) of their receipt? AntoneoLee@hotmail.com

I picked up an extra one I was going to give to my parents, but it's way too much camera for them to figure out. I'm willling to sell it for about my cost --> details. Otherwise, I'll just return it to CC.

Just bought one for $419.99. I was originally looking for digital cameras in the sub $200 range but I bought this one instead. Is this a good camera? I know very little about digital cameras. My last camera is a focus free 35mm one.

it's not going to beat out a film cam imo
it's more of a convenience/security type thing (again imo)
"Can anyone post, PM, or email me a scan (or take a picture with your new G3) of their receipt?"
got mail
xeroxed, then scanned the shelf tags
have not viewed outside of photoshop preview window
so holla if they are not clear/correct
if anybody else wants it, holla at dude, i'm gonna be offline (got a report due)
good luck everyone

This camera is a low end prosumer one with a bunch of features your average joe will have no idea how to use. Its a fine camera, but you would have been better off with an a70.

Huh? What have you been smoking? The G line is a much better digi camera than the A70. With a plethora of features that justify a higher price tag as well. Not quite a $699 camera but for the $419 it is worth it. Low end? I disagree with that statement as well. I take it you have not used the G line before.

Picked one up in Racine WI today, $419. There was a shelf tag that said was $599 with a clearance tag priced at $419. I called a store in Milwaukee to check the price and then oredered online. Hopefully I can still get the $50 gift card from the online purchase. I looked at the sony f717 while there and I didn't like the shape of it. Too bulky. I like the 5x zoom but I plan on getting an adapter for the canon for the telephoto lenses. Any recomendations on a good lense for these cameras?

Edit:
There was one more in stock, I was going to buy it but I didn't think there is much potential for profit to make it worth while.

I would like a scan of the receipt too!

There are basically 2 good teleconverter lenses that work well with this camera. The Olympus Tcon 17 1.7x and the Canon TC-DC58N 1.5x. You will need a lens adapter and a step up (or down) ring. My favorite lense adapter is not the plastic Canon one, but the aluminum "Lensmate" available at LensMate Online. I have a G2 and the lensmate not only allows you to add zoom, wide angle lenses, and filters, but also protects your lens barrel from bumps and bruises. It also makes you G2 or G3 look like a little SLR.. I love the G2 and theres no better camera in this class than the G3. Especially for 419... Now if someone would kindly send me the scan I might upgrade to the G3.

The tag I saw was a printed clearance tag. Nothing about a sale.

What lensmate adapter did you go with? The 52 or 58?
