You should also get your uncle to finance those racing stripes on your BMW Z4!

Y'all can think I'm crazy. But I'm no chump. I landed a multimillion dollar deal to host all of the Government of Pakistans critical military and government websites (even highly classified back end stuff), and I was a partner in what was the largest successful closing auction in eBay's history. I did get a huge offer for this startup company already, and yea, it drove me nuts for a while but I turned it down.

if you landed a multimillion dollar deal with the Pakistan government to host their critical military and goverment websites, then why do you need to borrow $50,000 form an uncle?

how about incorporating the project into an llc and offering the rich uncle the 50k in return for a 5% ownership stake. he's a buisinessman, you'll need to show your projections for revenue and why those projects seem reasonable. you'll probably also want to detail how you plan to get the next 350k you need in a second round of funding. besides, if the idea has merit and can be proven, i'm sure the guy would fund the other 350k provided he gets additional ownership. shoot, he doesnt even have to have voting rights, make him a silent partner with a higher profit % split to him.
what you're asking is for you to not only have him buy your cake but you get to keep the whole thing. a bit selfish aint it?
