Got a question...maybe someone can clarify for me.

If i order a home theater setup from Circuitcity, and check out with MSN passport, can I still pick it up at my local store? Will it still be considered a 'web purchase', as CC is offering a $30 GC with the purchase of a home theater setup ONLINE.

Will I still qualify for the MSN Reward and the $30 GC if I use in-store pickup, but place the order online?

Got my G2 last year through this. MSN dollars? No thank you. You realize Billy Boy is using all this money until Feb. to make money before they pay you...

Most good things never last.

This is still a good deal if you are purchasing something cheap anyway. I don't make a purchase just for the MSN $$, but with deals like the CC 48x CDRW for -$25 after rebate it is just gravy.......

Given that places like CC allow holiday returns until the end of January, it makes sense that they wouldn't want to give us the MSN Dollars until February. Otherwise, we could use up all our MSN Dollars, and then return all the merchandise we bought to get those MSN Dollars.

I'm curious about this as well. I'm fairly sure it should go through and credit you, but does anyone know for sure? I plan on ordering the TV in this thread online but picking it up at the local store.

How do you combine the ebates and MSN rewards? Do I first enter the shop through ebates and then open another IE window and then enter the shop through the MSN wallet/site? Thanks

You don't have to go through the MSN site to get the reward; just check out using MSN wallet. Just go through ebates and check out using wallet.

I believe you can pick up at the store and still get MSN credit. I ordered something that was not available for shipping and chose to pick it up at the local store. A couple days after placing the order, I got the confirmation of MSN dollars. Have fun!

How long does it take for the MSN credits to show in your MSN account? Does it happen within a couple of minutes or are we taking about days?

Some have taken a 30 seconds, some have taken 8 hours.

Looks like they have extended it another week.

Shop at stores participating in the MSN Holiday Rewards program before December 22, 2002.

The MSN Dollar thing is a pretty hot deal I think. I look at it this way... if I can find a good deal on stuff at their participating stores AND get 20% back to spend in Feb, then I'm coming out ahead.

I've been doing some x-mas shopping using this and already have my $100 in MSN Dollars tucked away until Feb. I ordered about $250 in pre-owned games from EBGames using a 20% off coupon (had a max discount of $50) and got the 20% MSN Dollars. Also picked up a couple Playstation 2 Network Adaptors at CircuitCity for $39.99 each and free shipping and got the 20% back on those as well. Some of the stuff I'll probably keep or give as gifts and some I'll probably sell and try to make a buck or two to sweeten the deal. Either way, it will definately be nice to have $100 to spend in February ($500 would definately be better, but I'll take what I can get ).

edit: by the way, I received my MSN Dollars for the purchases at EBGames and CircuitCity about 30 minutes after placing the orders.

So, does that mean you can qualify for (drum-roll please):

  • - MSN 20%
    - Upromise 2%
    - eBates 1%

at Circuit City by using your Upromise registered credit card online????

Here is a discussion I had with a Shopping Assistant just now...

Reece: Thank you Overclock, for contacting MSN Shopping. I am Reece, your MSN Shopping Assistant.
Reece: Thanks for your request.
Overclock: Hi Reece. When will the Holiday Rewards be sent?
Reece: In February 2003, you will receive an email inviting you to enroll. After you have formally enrolled in the MSN Dollars service, MSN Dollars earned will be available for redemption at participating merchants? Web sites.
Overclock: Any idea when in February?
Reece: We can not give you the exact date, please be assured that you will be receiving email at the earliest.

There you go folks. They don't even know when!
