That's pretty much what I'm thinking. Not the entire screen but a strip or a patch.I could see them keeping say the bottom bezel and the whole strip of bezel is a fingerprint reader.

btw, if that 5 hour figure for bt headphones is accurate, that's a joke. I routinely listen to music for more than 5 hours, and I'm only limited to my main battery life. As it happens, I'd rather listen to the tinny onboard speaker cause I don't like things in/over my ears, but I'm sure I'm in the minority in that regard.

Seems like a thing for people to get up in arms with just to have something to bitch about. Serious question, does anyone here actually listen to music with wired headphones while they're charging their phone?
I don't care one way or the other here, I have 3 pairs of Bluetooth headphones, the Sennheiser Momentum's sound AMAZING. I can't remember the last time I used wired headphones outside of on my computer. BT headphone use to suck no doubt, but a lot of the newer ones sound fantastic. I could bring up Coby wired headphones you buy at K-Mart to prove that wired headphone sound like shit. Listen to some BT 4.0 cans to base your judgement off of.
What about plugging in your phone to your car? Tons of people still use the auxiliary port to connect their phone. Or a sound system that doesn't have Bluetooth. Isn't Bluetooth pretty lossy for music? Things like Apt-X kinda mitigate that but its never going to be as good as a wired headset. And its a lot more expensive for that lesser sound quality.

Absolutely yes. I drive long distances to get to customer sites and have had an earbud in while charging my phone as I go. Also, if I get back to my office after being out for a while and my device is less than 50% charged I will plug the phone in by USB to my computer and listen to music or podcasts via wired earbuds. I think it sounds pretty cool to me. Wireless earbuds or HP's would be even more convenient.

I'm surprised by the amount of responses on this thread in regards to using iPhones in cars with AUX. BT transceivers with A2DP can come @$20-30, with some giving pretty good sound quality. I just plug my phone in, hang it on my magnetic dock, and BT connect, which is nice as anyone in my car can connect to that transceiver and play their music if they want (kids, wife, friends)
Edit: the convenience of not having to go through AUX cables alone is well worth it. I think I burnt through 3 AUX cables before I bought my BT. Now I have hands free and don't need to plug anything in my "dumb" car
I just wish they would get around to supporting wireless charging. Dropping it in the dock and having it charge without having to do anything would be great.
