This could create a very interesting competition between TA and the DPC in D²OL. Both outputs are about the same right now (1st and 3rd overall but not separated by much) but their total is is about 10 times ours.

[EDIT] How about adding Genome@Home to the list also?

<-- is going back to Folding@Home;

I'll probably recruit one of my ECCp-109 clients to another DC project but I haven't found out which I'm going to run.

Well, I really don't know but I marked DDOL since I guess it's newer so I can maintain a better ranking. How will an XP fair on that? Second question is where would you need the firepower of a 1900 and a dual 1200?

After giving my fleet a much needed rest last afternoon, I have rolled out SETI clients and brought my queue online. I should begin returning WUs fairly soon. OD will need to set up a race of some sort for those of us who chose to start (or in my case, return to) SETI.

XP, as in Windows XP is a little slower than 2k, and both are slower than Linux :Q

Atleast this is what I gathered from their forums. Athlon XPs seem to fly at it though.

Im running Seti, DDOL, and maybe another project soon (depends on how much I like DDOL).

I'll probably go back to Folding@Home (what I was doing before I switched to ECCp-109). I'll be waiting to hear more about ECCp-110 (I guess that's what's next?), though, because I've got a computer that I could use it on (if it is like ECCp-109 in that work units do not have to be downloaded frequently). However, if Folding@Home's networking code hasn't improved any, the SETI TeAm may have another participant.

Check MereMortal's stats here; we had 215 members in total, with about 75 in active participation on average. We finished in 5th place.

I cannot understand why you seem to ignore TSC when you have a team already and its probably the most worthy cause for DC (IMHO) you don't even put it up as option to vote on

I very much doubt that he ignored it ,more likely he hasn't heard of it ,I have myself but I can't remember what its about
I would guess that TA's particpation in it is small & therefore we don't often hear about it.

Why not tell us about it?
Also if you want a little more exposure why not write a TSC FAQ & installation for www.teamanandtech.com & the welcome thread here in the DC forum?

The Rothberg Institute For Childhood Diseases is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for children suffering from Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). We operate at the intersection of modern biology, computer science, and chemistry.

The work we do on TSC will also have a direct impact on cancer research, and we will be testing the drugs we find as weapons against cancer. In addition the work we do to create a system to attack orphan diseases will form a prototype for work on other orphan diseases.

TSC is a genetic disorder that leads to benign tumors in multiple organs, including the brain, kidneys, heart, eyes, lungs and other organs. During the first few years, the severity of TSC can range from mild skin abnormalities to, in severe cases, seizures, mental retardation or renal failure. For more information about TSC please visit www.tsalliance.org

They keep mentioning D2OL, so either they are using the same software or are part of the same project...

TOOCOOL... where is the sense in your two statements :

I cannot understand why you seem to ignore TSC when you have a team already and its probably the most worthy cause for DC (IMHO) you don't even put it up as option to vote on

and

...this is a great project and we really don't need the competition TA could bring...

When RC5 finished, I jumped over to ECCp for no particular reason (well.. maybe because joinT was there ). When ECCp finished, I figured that I would do something that may very well benefit me directly (like save my life maybe) and looked at the options... I don't remember seeing TSC during my cursory check. If it's a great project with a worthy cause, educate us so that the project will get more participants and benefit from the influx of CPU power.

So to recap just to get this straight 1.i am not on your team 2 you have a team doing this ask them to educate you 3 I think it this project is a good one 4 TA is a very large team and could hurt us in the rankings but i will risk that cause i care for the kids
