Now that the 5DSr has been out for a while, what's the verdict for 7Dii Vs. 5DSR for nature photos?

I know there was a thread earlier on this, but it was just before the release of the 5DSr....for those of us that are interested in nature/avian photography, is the 5DS R an upgrade? Or were concerns over sharpness justified? Again, assuming price is NOT an issue, and assuming one is using L series glass so crop to full-frame isn't an issue.

That website, the "sharpness" flip-flops between images.
It makes me think focus wasn't nailed on all of them.

a full frame sensor is always going to beat a crop sensor of the same generation so the 5dsr is going to be a great camera for nature pics unless by nature you are referring to bif then the 7d11 would be better only because of its af system. If you are just shooting scenery then i recommend the 5dsr. If you dont have canon then nikon and sony (and most likely fuji from what i have read) are far better options for nature photography than Canon

the 5DSR amazing for 2 things - landscape and studio work, where things don't move and you can take advantage of that sensor (we use 2 at work and they amount of detail they can resolve is great) however once you try shooting sports or Birds with it all bets are off, its simply not fast enough, in both AF and FPS. It really depends on what exactly "nature" photos means to you. but IMO if it invlolves needing fast and accurate focus tracking the SR is not the camera to get

that being said, the Nikon D810 even with 14 less MPs is better at landscapes and so is the Sony alpha a7ii
