i mentioned this in the original tiger wood thread..but they do this kind of reenactment all the time, they have a special department dedicated for certain cases where actual video is not available. i've seen murder/assult reenactments that looks like a street fighter scene where the victim have a health bar while being attacked.

Yeah, I have been told that Cantonese has a slightly different written form but I do not know to what real degree that is true. But being in Hong Kong, a lot of my friends appreciate the subtitles since many are not local or from Guangdong so that is the reason that is most relevant for what I have seen here. It is weird that it is actually part of the broadcast and not an optional feed like it is in the States.

bingo, cantonese/manderin, totally different languages, yet written the same. yes i know its odd but its the way it is. written cantonese is more formal though, perhaps contorted to fit perhaps.
