Mine just arrived! At the same time I'm setting up a new Abit kr7a system, so it will be a little later before I'll have something to report. Stay tuned...

It is reasonable to expect the memory to hit ~600mhz because it is rated at that (3.3ns). However, the core is rated at 175mhz and you should not be a let down if it does not hit 250mhz. Nvidia is having difficulty getting their Geforce3 .15 chips with great yields from TSMC.

When the Geforce 3 came out it was clocked at 200core/460memory. Overclocking the core did not improve much, but increasing the memory speed helped trememdously. Let's not get too greedy because word out on the street is that the first batch of TI-200's were geforce3 chips sold as TI-200's and now the chips are the ones that aren't capable of becomming TI-500 chips. Remember, Geforce3's problem was memory bandwith. If these puppies can go 200/600 this card will get big following real quick.

Okay....I've spent today trying to get my kr7a w/AMD 1800+ up and stable. I'm real slow and careful. MB is great, and i expect to start testing in earnest tomorrow (it's 3:30am now),and I'm beat. But, I did o/c the evga a little tonight, just to check it out on UT. Ran without a hitch at 200/450. I know that's not much for now, but that much was easy. Stay tuned, you'll be the first to know. I might suggest at this point that we move this discussion to video. SpotDancer, start a thread there, and I'll look for it....Lookin' good!

I need to see benches now! Can someone run benches at both 220 / 518 and their max eVGA overclock so I can see if this is a worth-while upgrade? Those speeds are what my BB Visiontek can hit, so I wonder if that extra ~90 MHz RAM speed is going to make THAT much of a difference.

Spot Dancer here is PowerStrip 3.1. It is a great video card tool. It allows you to overclock and set every option you can think of.

Ok, everyone..........I think we should take bevo's suggestion and move the overclocking to the Video section of the forums. I will set up the link and call it...................OVERCLOCKING THE eVGA 3.3ns GF3 Ti 200.

Hope to see everyone there!!!!

oh oh!: (3dchipset.com)

Phil sent me this link. It's in Korean so bare with the translation. But apparently the Ti200 card eVGA is selling with 3.3ns memory is flawed. I for one have seen this card and I can tell you that it is flawed. I guess eVGA doesn't do research as the Ti200 PCB boards aren't capable of providing enough stable voltage to the hynix 3.3 memory to have it run at it's default 600Mhz speed rating. The sad thing is that the board I tested was able to hit 480Mhz stable as anything higher performed texture tearing.

So buyer beware. eVGA has not tested these units at all. If you think you will be getting a board with fast 3.3ns you are sadly mistaken as it won't get anywhere near the rated spec of the memory.

The ethereal evga card and it's mystical 3.3 ram
Has anyone actually OC'd this card to see how high they can go?
I've read a few posts that indicate this card "craps" out around 500 - 530. Anyone have any better luck. Has anyone tried increasing the drive strength to the board via BIOS adjustments? I happen to be one of the foolish many that was seduced by BUYEE's claim of 600mhz. If I could reasonably attain 530ish I would be content. I have thought about just refusing to accept the UPS package and return it without the RMA on it. I am very certain obtaining an RMA from BUYEEE.com is going to be quite problematic. I'm valsilating between giving this card a shot or just downright refusing to accept it and then let AMEX deal with them. At least if I tell AMEX that I have return the product I will not have to forgo a 15% restocking fee. Any thought on this from anyone?
