I can't believe AOL actually made an infomercial. This is pretty damn sad. One of the person in this infomercial is admittedly stupid, in order to emphasize AOL's easy to use features. At least they'll admit it, I guess honesty is good.

As for its popularity: first time net users love it, eventually grow tired of the problems but don't move on because guess what? All their friends stick with AOL. I don't see the big problem with aol...ive used it for about 2 or 3 years now without any problems whatsoever....unlike some other isps i've had. The only reason i've stopped using it was because of the free isps out there. I'm with you Yza...can't wait for that merger to go through and rake in the big bucks.
