That's OK. I said there were very few reasons - self defense, ordered defense and this. This was not murder, it's justifiable homicide.

Regarding laws - allowing this kind of justifiable homicide is what we should do. It teaches a stern lesson to those who would repeat the deception. You can and will be killed if you deceive like this.

Like I said in my post on this, had this been disclosed at the start of the first date,
"Oh, BTW, I used to be a man, but I'm surgically altered into a female.", killing him two years later would have been wrong. HOWEVER, if he never told the husband...and led him on for two years, it's completely justified.

I'm getting to the point where I'd support a law that restricts transexuals/transgenders from dating outside their "community," and prohibits them from dating within the straight community.

No man I've ever known wants to reach between a girl's legs...and grab hold of a large penis if it isn't his own...nor do I think any of them would be too thrilled to find out later that the girl he's been boffing was instead a surgically altered male...in fact, having worked construction my whole life, I don't know of any of them who would be any less brutal in their opinions than I am. It's just fucking sick...and there should be swift and severe repercussions for such behavior on the part of the he-she.

How can that not be a crime? I believe that he deserves the death penalty for that.

If you're talking about the he that turned into a she and decived, then yes the death penalty is deserved and was delivered.

This is a lesson - don't deceive or you're gonna get killed.

So the next time a scammer screws someone on FS/FT, spidey thinks it is a legitimate reason to kill a person. I guess all those wall street investors who knowingly scammed people are going to get beaten to death too.

For some reason, I figured a god-fearing, conservative, law-abider type person would agree with that 10 point list. Guess that book only counts when it agrees with you.

I have no idea whether the people who advocate murder in these situations consider themselves to be Christian, but I suspect that Jesus Christ himself, were he to be faced with this situation, would be a bit more tolerant.

It's an interesting ethical point, as here we have people who believe that murder is perfectly ok in a situation where they have not been physically harmed. In fact, that murder is ok in a situation where they have been offended or lied to.

I'm genuinely astonished (and disgusted) that supposedly rational, intelligent people would think this way.

Oh shut up with the typical liberal "you advocate the death penalty for criminals, thus you are a danger to society" bullshit.

Obviously, most people who are so strongly for such harsh punishments are simply extremely revolted by the idea of the crimes that could call for such a punishment, making them more vehement in their desire to see said crimes punished and hopefully preventing others from committing similar crimes to avoid the extensive punishment.

Very, very few people run around promoting grisly death penalties for criminals just because they like the idea of people getting tortured. If you can't see this, you're way more ignorant and unrealistic than anyone you may disagree with.

Gender identity is related to sexual orientation, but it is not the same thing. I can say this confidently as a gay man who has never had the desire to become a woman. I suggest that all uninformed parties perform a Google search before responding further.

By "potentially violent," I speak of BoomerD's desire to murder someone who has deceived him, certainly a crime (sexual assault as I describe above), but caused no physical harm.

I can't really say I'm surprised by either of the viewpoints in this thread but I thought I'd comment on the pro-death penalty camp since they're really not much to say about the anti-death penalty camp.

If a country was okay with *civilians* executing the death penalty for lying/deceiving, multiple offenders, being a politician, and the other similar stuff, that country would pretty much fall into disarray very quickly. Among other things, you don't like someone and/or had a bad breakup. Just forge a document that they had a sex/name change and boom, you're free to kill them at will. Civilians are also wrong a lot (although the current justice system is wrong many times but theoretically they are better trained to handle stuff).

I doubt any politician or large corporation is 100% clean, so any republic/democracy would quickly dwindle down to ~5000BC tribes with about 90% of the population being dead since I don't think even feudal era lords would survive.

The problem with making the ultimate penalty (death) the penalty too widespread is that if you accidentally or on purpose trigger one of them, then you're pretty much free to do whatever you want from then on. You're marked for death anyway so you can steal/murder/rape/change genders (haha =)) all you want since you'll just get more "death penalties" added to your tally. Suicide bombers would increase 1000+% since whatever, they're dead anyway.

Pretty much any sane person would flee the country like the old religion persecution of olden days and the leftover country would be quickly conquered by a country with a "more normal" justice system. In the mean time, though, I can just see TV stations (while they existed) to be reporting things like top 10 lists of murder chains (A kills B, C kills A in revenge, D kills C, and so on) or most murders before going down in a blaze of fire.

Obviously, I doubt we'll ever see anything like this but it is an amusing mental exercise.
