NT Proxy

How do you configure the NT4 proxy to allow connections on port 2064?
I went into winsock proxy and added a new item to allow outbound connections on
port 2064 (TCP). I didn't put anything in the subsequent connection list.

Dnetc seems to connect fine, but only after complaining it couldn't find proxy.teamanandtech.com. Then it connects to an IP address... the one with 277 in it I think. I can post the log messages if anyone needs them.

I was using the port 80 thing, but was getting errors resolving there too.

I don't know anything about configuring NT4 proxy but you might want to check this thread to see if you can get dnet client to work with your current configuration. And yes, posting both your dnetc.ini and error log sometimes let one of us spot an obscured typo. Good luck to ya wrickard!

I have some experience running MS Proxy 2 on an NT network. Is this what you are using?

Can you set up a Personal Proxy on the MS Proxy 2 box?

It is whatever proxy comes with IIS I think.

While I could run a pproxy on a server that has a direct internet connection,
I didn't want to go through figuring that out. According to dnet, it is the last in
a list of suggestions. I was trying the first, attempting to use the client so it
thinks there is not a proxy.

Like I said, it seems to be working alright (my block production numbers are correct)
but I get errors before it works. They don't show up in the log. I'll have to do a
screen shot or something on monday. I have access to the proxy and can change settings,
so I figured why not allow direct connection for the clients?

When I check my mail behind the proxy, sometimes it comes back saying it can't find the
host (not on the same domain as the proxy), but when you click OK it works. I figure that
is the problem the dnet client is having.
