To show what directory has what permission for what user?

Ie big company has thousands of directory and sub directories, each one may be given customized security... it would take hours or days going through each one... is there a quick way to find each one ? and print a report ?

I've always considered the harder part was figuring out who *should* have access to what. Most of the time that's not an internal IT decision.
