As a student during the 50's and 60's, I know that simply climbing under my wooden desk and not looking directly at the blast is all I need to do. Duck & Cover!

Remember, while in "duck & cover" position, put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye.

Oh yeah, while you're in duck & cover position, be careful...there MIGHT be HOMOSEXUALS!

Wouldn't you just die from the radiation? Unless you could hop in a car and drive 100 miles an hour in a straight line away from the bomb, I don't think 15 or 30 minutes is enough time to get away.

Or find a helicopter...

Go to the deep-2nd sub-basement in the building I work in and find a nice, shield place - maybe next to some sensitive scientific equipment that's down there..

I'd head up to the roof and marvel at the explosion.

It worked for Jack Bauer.

1) Steal a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue; drink
2) Find the nearest hot chick; bang her brains out
3) Get on bomb; ride like a bull while waiving cowboy hat
4) :Boom;

As long as you clear the worst of the blast effect radius and get yourself underground you'll probably be just fine. The prompt radiation effects at those distances are pretty much blocked by soil and concrete.

Granted I wouldn't be hanging around for very long after depending on where the prevailing winds take the fallout cloud.

Edit: and as far as shelter goes...avoid bullshit cost cutting modern construction. Any major building that looks 40-50ish years old is a better bet.

You assume the blast radius would be 10 miles at the least. What do you do? GO!

My R6 has a full tank of gas, Rossi wouldn't be able to catch me...

Does it also have a fake presidential press release area with several large mainframes?

I'm with the basement group. 15 minutes ain't enough time for any of these other extravagant plans.

I'm in midtown Manhattan. I'm pretty much a goner. Probably pray and cry. Maybe call my mom.

I'd run out into the street and find a guy on a motorcycle. I would stand in front of him to make him stop, but if he didn't, I'd jump to his right at the last second and hit the kill switch on his bike's handlebars, causing him to slow down. Then I'd run up to him and give him a quick chop to the larynx. If he blocks, I grab his arm and pull him towards me, also pulling him off the bike. I'd follow that with a quick kick to the ribs and I'd also grab his helmet and snap his neck (easier to do with the helmet - more leverage). Then I grab the bike, ride to the nearest guns & ammo store, perform the same incapacitating maneuvers on the employees so i can grab a Colt AR-15 with ACOG, 6 position collapsible stock, and quad rail hand guard, and 500 rounds of ammunition. I then ride as far from the epicenter as possible, splitting lanes to get through the inevitable traffic jams.

I'd taken an elevator to the underground parking deck, lock myself in the maintenance office, and get under the most solid looking table I could find.

I'd grab an axe out of the Fire Emergency Cabinet and blast down the stairs (or force an elevator door open and hop on top of the next elevator down) jump in the sewer and use remaining cellphone battery power to navigate to an underground mall or subway

Edit: via GPS

-Find out where the nuke is.
-Go there.
-Slap on some shades.
-Grab a chair and a bottle of JW Black.
-Point and laugh at all the fools running around who are going to die anyway.
