First, using the exe from the old link at the beginning of the thread:
ALU: 5069
FPU: 5360
MT: 29350
Overall:20878

Then with the new version:
ALU: 5117
FPU: 5370
MT: 28537
Overall:20362

Was the old link updated? Not only did it work, the exe:s look to be identical.

These scores are with dual Opteron 2393s @ 2867 MHz

Me using the 2.0 RC1 version which I think is the last version.

ALU: 7205
FPU: 7936
MT: 30144
Overall: 22180

21,744 with new OC.

Even though my score isn't much higher than yours, I wonder why this is happening, you have an 400MHz advantage, could it be RAM timings or chipset optimizations? My RAM timings are quite tight, they're running at 5-5-5-13 at 1,056MHz, I also turned on chipset optimizations like RAM Twister, transaction booster and stuff like that which are moderate because too agressive and my PC wouldn't boot.

I have my Q8200 @ 2.8ghz at the moment (400x7, 1.2V) and I scored 14649.

It's kind of odd how 8 more MB of L2 cache only adds up to 10% more performance per clock.

I wonder if it's even worth upgrading this rig then. It has an E5200 @ 3.625Ghz, and it scores 12500, which is around what an Athlon II X4 630 @ 2.8Ghz scores as well.

It's an IP35-E, and I have an M1-stepping Q8200 ready to drop in. Is it even worth it?

FX-8350 stock

Atom 3735G 1.33Ghz/1.86Ghz in a Toshiba Encore Mini 7" 1GB. Plugged in.

ALU Score: 2020
FPU Score: 2604
MT Score 4T: 6541

Total Score: 5010

It is a little surprising to see the Atom match the old K8's at 2.5-2.7Ghz.

Edit:

Drop it in if you still got it

I know people usually frown upon necro threads but this one could prove quite interesting.

6700K @4.6. Sig rig.

Found this app on my hard drive, gave it a go. 4690K @ 4.2Ghz, DDR3 2400Mhz, MSI Z97 G45 board. High perf. profile (just for this test). Not bad compared to above 6700K @ 4.6Ghz

7300HQ plugged in.

It seems like the only anomalies between my old FX-8350 and my 7300HQ is that the L1/L2 on the FX is actually faster. Also the i5 is 5x faster than the FX at factoring. That must be some hardware extension, right?

Are you sure you're not running anything in the background?
Or are mobile CPUs just slower?
Doesn't your CPU hit 3.5Ghz in single, because the prog says 2.5Ghz.
L1/L2 speed seem very low as well for you.

I don't think this test is truly single threaded when benching, I'm only hitting 3.1-3.3Ghz during it. I do hit 3.5 in CPUmark99.

This test does not work right with my overclocked 3.7 Ghz Xeon E5-2699 V3 18 core.

All the Multi-thread stuff only shows 0's. So I get:

ALU score 9032
FPU score 12198
MT score 0

So a grand total of only 3438.. :-(
