I think your points are well taken.

I'll say it again though. David was punished, wrong or right. It makes no difference whether he had permission or not. He lost his job.

The punishment must fit the crime. The crime (if there was one committed) here was trivial. The punishment being proposed might possibly fit the bill as "cruel and unusual". (Let's not get into an argument about that -- just my opinion.)

Anyway, I still think things are getting out of hand.

Well I'll give him more time yet and there is now so much crap in this thread - that I'll have to start another.

Folks - Let me make it clear.

This is David McNetts thread (Nugget). If you don't feel offended by his remarks then move over to the side of the road. If like myself you feel deeply aggrieved then stay out of it, send it to the top and keep a watch on it. If you want to brawl - I believe IRC works well.

I (me, singular, perpendicular pronoun) will be satisfied with an apology from David for his attributed "unreasoning" remark and his subsequent failure to provide a clear and complete denial or refutation of the remark.

A simple, "I'm sorry I .........." would go a long way towards restoring support for Dnet, UD and DC.

To be honest I find his response to the quote even less attractive than the original quote itself...
